Wwned my '85 700 interceptor since '92. Bought it for $1800 with 12k miles on it. Now has 23k on it. It's been givin a beating and keeps on going.. The clutch is original from previous owner. I have never changed it. Only recently that I let a friend have some fun on it for a week that the clutch seems fried..(don't lend a friend your bike)..last yr, took it to the track and ran a 12.92 e.t. @105mph..in '94 or so I took it up to 127mph on a cold night.. I'm sure it had more. I just ran out of room.. With a aftermarket clutch, times at the track would improve a great deal. Fitted the rear with a mich 150 70. A little upgrade from the wagon wheel. Looking now for a 4 into 1 exhaust..any assistance would be appreciated..oh and seals for front shocks now starting to leak.

Awesome powerband 0-12000 RPM,Great torque throughout. Handles like 2 rolls of TAPE! No Wigglies or Squigglies (Really Tight Handling). Great dual front disc, rear disc. Really cheap insurance also. Awesome powerband 0-12000 RPM,Great torque throughout. Handles like 2 rolls of TAPE! No Wigglies or Squigglies (Really Tight Handling). Great dual front disc, rear disc. Really cheap insurance also. Very minor maint. required other than tires, b rakes, battery, filter changes. Got 40,000 mi. on MY BABY. GOES, STOPS, HANDLES fantastic. Factory alloy rims, monoshock, Bright Headlight. Very, Very little Vibration(Factory mirrors stay CLEAR).Only shortcomings are weight, right at 500 Lbs WET. Also needs 1 more gear (only a 5 speed gearbox). Tops out at 135 MPH with only sprocket change. One MAJOR suggestion though, Ya REALLY NEED to install a LASER/RADAR detector with an earpiece so you can DODGE potential monetary exchanges with THE-MAN in BLUE. HAPPY-CANYON-CARVING to all! Hope to see you in my rear-view soon... Ben Jammin
