I bought this bike to see if I'd like the bigger style of a touring bike. My other is a 1987 Super Magna that I love the looks of, but cannot pack for weekend trips on. The Gold Wing has plenty of room to pack, but I needed to put on highway pegs as my legs are in a position that I cannot ride for many miles before cramping. The bike has been very reliable, and has the power to pull that big of a bike. Great lean angles for its size. Easy to work on as well - get a manual and you should be able to do about everything yourself. Great bike!

I always thought I would never be able to keep up with the men in my family on their trail motorcycles, because of their larger size, they ride larger, faster bikes with more power. I am a small, young woman who has been riding motorcycles nearly all of my life, and couldn't find a bike to suit my smaller size with as much performance on the difficult Arizona desert trails. Then I found this motorcycle. Absolutely perfect. Smaller, lighter, low-end torque, if my TLR200 can't climb it, neither can there's. There are only a few drawbacks to this bike. On the rare occasion that I want to go above 45mph, this bike vibrates a lot and gets rather shaky because it is so lightweight (and so am I). Although the lightweight and torque allows me to jump almost anything. Working on the carb is a pain, it is much harder to get off than most bikes, and if you aren't careful you'll bend in your aluminum float (like I did). The stiff shocks and small seat can get uncomfortable after a couple hours also, and I usually end each day riding with sore legs (from standing up on it) and a couple bruises on my backside (from sitting down on it). But the experience of this bike is well worth it. I would love to see more bikes like this on the market, but until then, I'll never own another motorcycle (for my personal use), only my Honda TLR200 will do.

This bike allows for on-board air shock adjustments for both front & rear. This is a very nice feature. I installed a tall Tulsa windscreen for added passenger & rider comfort. I have my Stator checked every month or so during riding season. With 54,000 miles it never had a problem. This is a GREAT first touring bike.

This is a great bike for trails in mountains. It is also pretty good at jumping, but be careful--I broke the rear fender!
