I purchased my 1987 YZ250T new in '87 from Pate's Yamaha in Chattanooga,TN. I raced for two years. I still trail ride almost every weekend with new bikes and still they can't hang with the awsome 250. This is one tough bike, never been bored or the had the cases split. With only a top end job about every other year, it can't be beat.

I recently purchased a 1988 YZ125 for $150.00 and for that price I took it home, put a new coil on and drove that day. This bike rocks. The powerband is superb and very deadly. It does not look like much but you better hang on if it is this bike you buy and ride

Recently, I rode a 87 YZ250 and I found that, although it is small for its class, it packs more bite for the 250 class. If you like a bike that will sling dirt, gravel, mud, and climb any hill, blow any bike away, but still be able to go up to 90 down a highway this is the bike for you.
