This is my first real bike and I must say I have enjoyed every mile. Handles exceptionally, great looking and also very comfortable riding position (I am 6') I also find that the bike could use another gear at highway speeds but it does very well. I bought my T-Bird with 8,000 miles on it for a price well below Blue Book. Since then I've added another 3,000 and I have to say that this has been a great buy. So far, I've only had minor issues - a dead battery from Arizona heat, and a pesky temp idiot light that likes to come on when the fan kicks on. Other than that it's almost everything I wanted out of a first bike. City travel is great, but long stretches of freeway at 70mph or more have a tendency to make me wish for something with taller gears. The only thing that keeps me from giving the bike a perfect score is the somewhat underpowered front brakes, and the lack of a 6th gear.

A standard motorcycle with a true classic identity. Bike looks great and shows it's quality build through its beefy parts. Performs fantastic and handles well. If you want to meet people, this is the bike for you. Can't ride anywhere without some kind of comment on my steed. Only problem is the temp light seems to come on and go off sporadically. The engine does not seem hot, the light appears to be erratic.

Triumph could've spent a little more time in design and the customer wouldn't have to. I've put bigger rubbers on air cleaner box to frame mount to keep from ruining intake boots from cracking. U must remove the carbs before changing the air cleaner use only silicate free antifreeze or U will replace the water pump mine went out because the dealer used Prestone. Watch your saddlebags, as they will touch the mufflers. The electrics go in and out sometimes they work and then they don't (indicators and Speedo and tach needles are poor) this was looked at and replaced by the dealer (the harness) but the same problems still exist. Overall reliable but it always makes you wonder, it's no BMW that's for sure. I've done less work on my 93 900 SS Ducati. If you're serious buy a used one with low miles for half retail there all over and no ones buying I've tried to sell mine twice and had no takers at half price. They definitely don't hold any value so don't buy one as an investment! Happy cycling.
