I bought my Road Star 3 months ago. It had 6K miles on it and not a scratch. I bought it for MUCH less than a comparable new machine and have never looked back. It has a windshield and the Bub pipe's LOUD! Everywhere I go, I hear "good lookin' bike", etc. It has been twenty years since I had ridden ... read more

Coming back from looking at a Road King Classic one Saturday morning in August, I decided to see if I could get the same feel and satisfaction for LESS than $20k. I saw the Honda Shadows, and the Kawasaki Vulcans, but neither held up to the feel I got when sitting on that HD Road King. Until - I stopped at my local Yamaha dealer and discovered the Road Star Silverado. I saved $7,500 and I'm having a ball. It's a very stable and reliable bike so far. I commute to work each day (weather permitting)- about 39 miles each way. Had one problem - a screw in the headlight rim backed out. If that's the extent of my unplanned maintenance, this bikes gonna sleep in my garage for a long, long time! JP

Going on 2000 miles now in 3 short months, with only routine maintenance. This is the best low-end torque I've ever had. Get in traffic and level off for a great cruise to dreamland. Grab a windshield, full size, as soon as possible or plan on a fork for all the bugs!!! This baby snorts horsepower, and begs ... read more

Grab a windshield, full size, as soon as possible or plan on a fork for all the bugs!!! This baby snorts horsepower, and begs for some competition. I still can't find any!!! Ride On!!
