I just bought a new 2000 springer back in August. This is my first Harley. I've ridden many of them over the years, but this one surpasses all the rest. With the new 1450 counterbalanced motor, this bike is one of the most comfortable to ride. The new motor also has some get up and go. These changes in the new Harleys, not just the Springer, have brought riding to a new level. The only thing you can do is go take a test ride and decide for yourself. I think you be pleased. I was. If ( or when) I get my hands on a y2k softail I know it will be a huge lift from my 1968 xlch. However, my old sporty has been as good as gold for 27 years. I was born in Sturgis,SD in 1950, I turn 50 in 2000 and think I deserve a 2000 FXSTS. don't you agree?
