I saved alot of money riding this bike, and have alot of great memories. Great things do come in small packages.

I love this bike! This is my first bike and up until last month, I had never ridden a motorcycle. My husband has been riding for years and for my birthday enrolled me in the Motorcycle Safety Course. People were trying to talk me into a larger engine bike, but I knew my limitations and wanted something I was comfortable riding. I would encourage everyone to take a Safety Class.

I recently purchased a red Ninja 250 and I couldn't be happier. I had never ridden a streetbike or any type of actual motorcycle for that matter(I used to ride a scooter when I was in college)and I had no idea of what bike to buy as my first. Every sales person I talked to lead me in a different direction, I did my own research and decided this was the bike for me for a couple reasons - Low seat, others gave it great reviews, it is the most powerful 250 and I like the style of a sportbike. I know that some people complain about the retro styling, but I like it, especially when you compare it to other 250s. I don't know why everyone was pushing me towards a bigger bike, the Ninja has plenty of power for me, 0-60 in 5 seconds is plenty fast. The bike is comfortable, easy to handle and most importantly for a beginner, very forgiving. I had not been on a two wheeled vehicle for over ten years and I was able to ride it home from the dealer with no problem. At nearly 70mpg it saves me money( I also drive a 5.9 liter Durango which is a gas hog). Because I'm still under 500 miles I haven't taken the bike over 8,000rpm and it can still snap my head back if I pop the clutch too hard. To sum up this novel, I am very pleased with the Ninja 250, great price, great performance and most of all great fun.

My only complaint is it needs a fuel gauge. Other then that I highly recommend it for a beginner. Or me being only 5'7 120lbs this bike is still easy to ride and very light weight. After a couple months of riding you might want more power like I do, but I still think its a great bike for the price, It's fun for you and your wallet. Go get one you'll be pleased.

When I walked into the Kawasaki dealer, I was looking for a starter bike that also had plenty of power starting out. The Ninja 250cc has great but moderate power and redlines at 14,000 rpm. I have had no problems with the bike. It is great to go out and cruise. It has electric start, 6-speed transmission, and is liquid cooled. I would definitely recommend this as a first bike which has plenty of power until someone is used to riding for awhile. It also is great for the pocket book. It retails for $3,299.

I just turned 14 in November and got this bike in January. Mine is kawasaki green. In most states you can only ride a bike that has 125cc. In Oklahoma they changed that so now 14 year olds can drive a bike with 250cc. It is a bad bike. It red lines at 14,000 rpm's and has a 6 speed gear shift. It will max out... read more

In Oklahoma they changed that so now 14 year olds can drive a bike with 250cc. It is a bad bike. It red lines at 14,000 rpm's and has a 6 speed gear shift. It will max out at about 105mph. It is a great bike to own. It weighs around 310 pounds. A good bike to start on but be careful...there are a lot of dumb people out there that will run over you.

I could not ask for more...for now. The pick-up is great and it feels like I'm going faster then I actually am, which is great because I stay in the speed limit, but feel like I'm flying! If you're thinking about getting your first bike, I recommend this one. Always wear a helmet! I love my full-face helmet; it feels natural. Travis Smith
