This is my 6th bike over the years,my last bike was an Electra Glide, the one before that was a Vmax, to me the Valk is a nice mix of both, it's much bigger than the HD and has lots of zoom zoom like the Vmax, I love haulin ass and this bike does it in quicktime......

Just purchased a 2003 Black Valkyrie. I can't wait to ride this beast. On rainy days I go out to the garage just to sit on her and talk about the next time I will ride. Power? Oh yeah! Smooth? 32 years and 18 bikes later I discoverd my Valk interstate. Roll on power of a CBX and the ride is a dream. Total comfort, stability and control.....and a little bit of sport left in the way it handles the curves. This ain't your daddy's gold wing! Power, comfort, class and handling; it doesn't get better than this. This is not a bike for everyone. If you like to cruise at high speed, in comfort with a rider this is your bike. The only draw back is at under 5 mph handling is a bit clunky if you haven't got your sea legs with handling BIG bikes. Then again you didn't buy this bike to putt through the pilons at a learners's licence test. This is the boss hog until Honda trumps the Valk's technology.

Too bad Honda is not gonna make anything affordable after 2003. Rumor has it that the new "Valk..Rune" will list for 21k. Not a price tag for the working man. Some VRCC Members are calling it the "Ruin". I hope Honda will continue to make more Valks other than the ruin...oops Rune.

I love my 1999 Valkyrie I/S. It is the best motorcycle I've ever owned. I have friends that have v-twins and they all are looking for a great deal on a Valkyrie like I got. This bike handles really well for a big bike and none of the touring bikes out there come close to it. I would challenge any v-twin owner to ride with us in the mountains and tell me that this is not the best touring bike built, I should say best "American Made" touring bike built. Take it for what its worth, just my humble opinion!

How will Honda top the Valkyrie. As the undisputed "king" of the cruiser, this bad boy is still the king, even though Honda has determined that the '02 will be the last of this current version. The Valkyrie is legend for its ability to be anything you want. Cruiser, racer, tourer, the Valkyrie does it all with style and ease. Every time I stop to get gas someone comments about this bike. Drive a V-Twin then drive the flat 6 of the Valk. See for yourself what a joy it can be to have this motor to play with.

I don't own this bike, but had one for a few days as a loaner while my V-twin was getting new pipes. Put about 50 miles on it, mostly 2 up. This bike is smooth, this bike is quiet, this bike has more horsies than any sane person actually needs. Excellent quality, fit/finish. It sounds like a sewing machine. It's too tall for my 29" inseam. It doesn't corner as good as my Suzuki 1500. Model I had doesn't have forward controls, and if they are available don't know where you'd put them with that big wide boxer engine in the way. I like forwards. There is no doubt in my mind this bike is technically superior to any V-twin, but given the choice I'll stick with what I got. Can I justify logically this? nope, won't even try. But my bike is a toy, so I might as well play with my favorite toy.

The Valkyrie has been my ultimate bike. I've been riding for over 20 years and have owned a variety of Japanese bikes and BMWs. I purchased a Valkyrie last year and I find it to be an excellent, all-around performer. Make no mistake -- this is not a bike for a novice, nor for a small person. You should have an inseam over 30" and be a pretty big person to pilot this ship. However, if you purchase one, you will be rewarded with excellent handling, unique looks, and the ride of your life. The accelleration of this bike is breathtaking. It just powers away from anything else on the road, including crotch rockets. I have a Memphis Shades quick release windshield and a pair of Leatherlyke quick disconnect saddlebags. This means that when I want to tour, I have all the protection and storage that I need. When I just want to cruise and "feel the wind" I take the shield and bags off (less than 5 minutes), and I have one of the best looking cruisers on the road. What else can I say? This is a very fine motorcycle, that stands out from the V-twin crowd.
