I am now 13 years old. I have had this bike for about 3 years. This was my first bike with a clutch. It was a great learing bike because of its size and reliability. Now that I am older, it's performance does not excite me. But, for younger riders, it is a great bike. Also, it is VERY tough, I always try to ride in new areas in which I wreck a lot. The bike has had no serious problems from wrecking. The majority of the damage is plastic cracking and handlebars and shifter bending. So if you or your child is young and new to riding dirt bikes, this is a great bike for them!

This thing is a complete animal! The power is crazy for a 100cc. If you ever heard of RedBud the mx track, I rode it there 2 days ago and the bike had no problem getting up hills. If you research redbud you will see it has the biggest jump in AMA and a xr can hit it in 3rd gear and make it up or jump it. Plus... read more

XR 100 R ROCKS!

I PUT IN 40,000 + TROUBLE-FREE MILES ON IT FROM DAILY RIDES TO WORK. 3 WEEKS AGO I GOT A 2003 REBEL WITH 3,800 MILES ON IT. IT IS IN MINT CONDITION WITH EXTRAS: CRASH BAR, SADDLE BAGS, AND WINDSHIELD. I PUT IN 90 MILES ON TEST RIDES. COULD NOT GET IT TO GO PAST 65 MPH ON LEVEL HIGHWAY WITH NO HEADWIND. THE ENGINE WAS NOISY AND STRAINED. WHY, I don't KNOW? SINCE IT IS TOO COLD TO RIDE NOW. (29* F IN NYC THIS WEEK.) I GUESS I WILL HAVE TO CONTINUE MY TESTING IN THE SPRING 2007. SO FAR I AM IMPRESSED WITH THE QUALITY OF THE BIKE, THE GOOD LOOKS, DESIGN, ETC. I DO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE SEAT THOUGH. EVEN AT MY HEIGHT, THE RIDGE OF THE DRIVER SEAT KEEPS ME FROM MOVING BACK A LITTLE AND MY LEFT FOOT IS ALWAYS BUMPING INTO THE ENGINE CRASH BAR. I CAN NOT IMAGINE ANYONE 5 FT 8 OR TALLER RIDING THIS BIKE. BUT OVERALL, I AM HAPPY WITH THIS BIKE AND CAN'T WAIT TO SPEND MORE TIME ON IT IN WARMER DAYS!!!
