I have a 2004 Concours. I got a good deal on it new from the dealer with some negotiation. I have had other brands and sizes of cycles, but the Concours is the most reliable and best handling of all. The bike is quick, reasonably comfortable and above all a good value for the money. You can get bikes that are more exotic, but for the money, this one is a winner. Best power response is in the mid to high range. The bike gets a little top-heavy with a full tank of gas, so be careful at first in parking lots until you get the hang of it. <br /> The Concours is a great value, well built and has a lot of performance. The best I saved for last...it handles twisty roads like a dream.

I was sure that all of the bugs were worked out of this bike. And I was right. It was a very good decision. This bike has it all: Shaft drive, Dual front brake rotors, 6 speed transmission, Hard luggage, fairing, large gas tank, upright riding position, power and very good handling. I can ride all day. It has a great price and excellent warranty. I am glad that Kawasaki kept this bike around. I would not hesitate to recommend this bike to anyone.

I started out riding a 250 Ninja and knew from the beginning that I needed more bike. After about a year of research, I was torn between the ZRX1200 and the Concours. Then one day I saw my Connie sitting in a neighbors garage. I talked to him about the bike and he said it was for sale, two days later it was mine. I put 17,000 miles on my bike in the first year that I owned it. I love my bike and have had no major problems out of it. The seat did seem to lose some of its comfort after about 20,000 miles, so when I came across a good deal on a Corbin, I bought it. Wow what a difference. I currently make a 500 mile trip once a month, and commute roughly 90 miles on it every day with no gripes. Awesome all around bike. If you are still unsure if this is the bike for you, do a search for it on the net, it will bring up quite a few good articles. I have owned six different bikes and my Concours is by far my favorite.

I had the good fortune to buy my 2003 Kawasaki Concours (1,500 miles!)over the internet from a very responsible party. I had bought 9 bikes during the last 3 years: 2 Yamahas, a Goldwing and 6 Harleys before getting the Concours. Realizing that every style of bike is designed for certain rider preferences, I kept looking for a bike that was quick, fast, comfortable, easy on fuel and good-looking as well. The Concours measures up. At the age of 67, I had to make some ergonomic adjustments to get used to riding "jockey style". Highway pegs filled the bill! I still don't understand how Kawasaki can continue to produce this bike at the current MSRP! Next to riding bikes, my hobby is to research them on the internet. I could not find a better buy for the buck. Keeping up with the kids just got way easier.

I average like 14,000 a year. With my bikes before being a 91 ninja, 02 ZZr7S, and an 86 Zn700 I don't notice the humming sounds. The only problem that I have had was the speedo cable broke but nothing worth complaining about. The only thing that I don't like about it is the color don't look bad at all on the bike but don't care for the color. For the money I can't complain at all.

I purchased my 2000 Concours in 4/2000. I did a lot of reseach before buying, but the bottom line was the money. I wanted a bike for two up riding that was comfortable and had some protection from the elements. Could not find a comparable model for the price. I have had no mechanical problems and have done a few upgrades like Progressive Springs, Vista Cruise Control, and new Dunlop tires. With almost 18K miles, I have no complaints. The buzziness is common to all inline fours I have ever owned, so I live with that, just keep the engine in tune and the buzz is livable. I figure, where else can you get a Ninja with full weather protection? This bike is a wolf in sheeps clothes, super fast, loves the twisties, great for two up riding, very comfortable, and extremely reliable. For my money, the Concours is a great value.

I warmed up a couple hundred miles on my spouse's new Buell Blast - read about the Connie and when I saw the '04 in the showroom, it was a done deal. Anxiety heading out on the Connie gave way almost immediately to that wonderful sense of speed, smoothness and flight. Nearly 5000 miles, mostly 30 mile round trip commutes plus many 200 mile freeway trips to meetings and family events. A little buzz, and numb hands if it's cool out (I commuted until Thanksgiving). Otherwise, 43-48 mpg in all conditions, docile in traffic, awesome for 2-up touring. Just delightful on backroads. Riding position fits well, but may get GenMars.

I was checking the Internet for bike reviews when approached by a coworker about buying his Connie. I was amazed to say the least! He had a Connie sitting under a bike cover in his garage with only 1000 miles on it. That was the first shock, the second came when he said that it was mine for $4000. It only took about 2 seconds of seeing it for the first time to yell out, "sold!" It had been a while since I had been on a bike, so I was a little apprehensive at first. But it didn't take long until it all came back. The bike feels great; it has plenty of power and the comfort isn't as bad as I had heard. I'm very impressed with the overall performance. I did however, remove the saddlebags to reduce some of the wind drag, but all in all I couldn't be happier.

I am 49 years old and bought my Connie in August 2004 off Ebay. I had been thinking about a motorcycle purchase for about 1 year. Seen a Concours at a dealer and fell in love. I have not ridden that much, however I am impressed with the bike. No problems thus far. Did do the valve adjust which is do-able for a non mechanic, but is a pain. The scheduled frequent valve adjust would be my only complaint. I have not owned a bike for 25 years and am satisfied.
