As my first bike, it rocks. This bike is made for trail riding, nothing major like racing. But for what this bike was designed to do, it does the job great. My friend weighs 150 pounds and has a CRF 150 F and I beat him every time even though I weigh 100 lbs more than him. I bought it used for $1000 and it's a great investment.

I have had this bike for 3 years. At first I had problems with the start up on cold days. We cleaned the carb up and now it starts great. I have a great time on trails with this bike - it really tears them up. I take this bike to my friends track at their house just to screw around and it performs better than what I would expect for its weight. It really can get some air on the step up and table tops. It has plenty of speed. With a gps hooked up to the handle bars I got 72 miles per hour on road. I really recommend this bike to any body that is looking for a great bike, and wants to ride it hard.

It is a very good bike overall. VERY cold blooded, long warm up time. Starts after about three trys with electric starter, ten seconds, fifteen seconds and finally fires. She has run it on some back trails in TN and on the roads in Ohio. Good learner bike. Dad has GPS confirmed 63 mph (lay down on seat, less wind resistance) had it wrapped pretty tight. Change oil often, Glad I bought it.

I was very easy to learn on, and switches gears easy, it's just a normal 5 speed bike but when this bike goes into 3rd you can just fly. The brakes are great, and easy to control, just a little heavy for it's size, but the power of the bike takes care of that problem. If you need more power, get a t-4 titaniam pipe, expensive but will help the bike a lot!!! The only little problem with the comfort, which is probably the same for evey bike, is after using your wrist so much it starts to hurt. This is what defines a Yamaha!

This bike is awesome. I had it for about 3 years now and I love it. I do wish I had a little more power, but that's because I'm riding with friends that have yz 450f's. It is an awesome bike, but I grow to fast and now I`ve already grown out of it. Now I want either a TT-R 230 or a YZ 450F. It's an alright bike, though. I think for me it is just a play around bike not really meant for jumping or climbing hills - just an ordinary trail or play bike.... read more

It easily does 120km/h. The only problems are that I havn't been able to get the front wheel up, I can do it on a ag200 so its very suprising that its hard to do on a ttr250, and the other problem is the amount of fuel I'm going through from riding it almost non stop.
