It has insane power for a 250 4 stroke and has really good suspension. After reading reviews on this bike I was a little hesitant with all the valve problems and carb bog. I have never experienced any of those problems. This bike just flat out rips and I will have it for a very long time!

I dont normaly write reviews, but the bike is so awesome that I decided to write one. After riding an 04 230F I decided to upgrade to a 250X. I ended up purchasing a used one from a local guy. In my first outing with the bike I got persuaded by a bunch of riders to go on some tight technical trails in Los Padres Forest here in SoCal. Since it was my 1st time on the bike, I hesitated at first but then gave in. I was surprised how easy this bike was to ride and felt so much lighter than my 230. Five minutes into the ride and I felt like I had been riding the bike for years. I am short, so I ended up installing a kouba lowering link and shaving the seat a bit. The seat is much more comfortable now to a point that I get lazy to stand up. Overall, this bike is awesome, have wiped out a bunch of times and the bike has held up great, almost no dings or scratches. No issues with the valves either. Do the regular maintenance and you are good to go. It also has awesome power but very controllable.

I got my 230 as an upgrade from my 150. This bike is so fast for its size and weight. I got mine to go about 65. It rips up steep hills like nothing. It jumps ok for anything less than 6ft. So I bought the bbr springs and it makes a world of a difference. I fly over the whoops and the doubles (no tripples lol) like nothing. But I have to constantly remind myself that this is a TRAIL BIKE, not a race bike so you can't be screwing around at the track. For a 230, it's a great bike even stock. I just added a few after market parts to suit my style of riding :)

I climb everything, jump everything, and stay right with my buddys YZ250.

This is my first dirtbike ever. I had been riding quads for over 7 years and I decided I wanted a dirtbike. About 7 months ago me and my dad went to a Honda dealership and bought a 2005 CRF100F. At first I was scared to get on it so I stayed in 2nd and 3rd gear, but after about a month I was riding it on trails, tracks, and climbing up hills like a pro. I got bored with the power that it had so I bought a complete Yoshimura pipe. That added a lot of power. About 4 months ago I started to jump table tops, doubles, singles, step-ups, and step-downs. After getting only about 5-7 ft. of air the front fork springs bottomed out and I only weigh 90 lbs so that was unusual to bottom out. I just ordered BBR Heavy Duty Front Fork Springs and I hope they will help a lot. But again I am bored with the power so in a few months my dad said he will get me a new 2007 Honda CRF150R.
