Decent shape. 85,000 miles. Clean title runs and rides just fine. Kenwood stereo. $5,000. No trades. Last service was last spring less than 100 miles on service. Only reason for selling is I bought another bike.... read more

After checking out BMW and Honda (Goldwing), my wife and I settled on the Harley Ultra. My wife picked the Goldwing as her first pick but it just didn't feel right to me. We are both very satisfied with the Harley. We bought the bike on Memorial Day weekend and went to Mackinaw. Three weeks later, went to the state of Washington and down the coast to Oregon and back. Note: I would always like more power but I had no problem power wise with this bike. We had an absolutely great trip, the bike ran perfect in the mountains, desert you name it. We are glad we picked the bike we did. I plan on buying a bag for the trunk carrier, and highway pegs for the both of us. Our trip this summer will be route 66. I would say whatever bike you buy it is like a leather jacket it has to fit you right regardless of the make or model. Keep the rubber side down and be safe!

I have just under 13000 miles on my '06 Ultra and find it to be the best bike I've ever ridden. I'm sorry to hear of the problems with the '07 models with the 96 cui, 6 speed, extreme heat and tranny noise. I can only hope that HD corrects these issues before I get the urge to trade. On the plus side, this will be a positive for the resale values on the 88 cui.

I have just under 12000 miles on the Ultra and I just keep liking it more every time I ride it. I have had to replace two vibration related exhaust items. #1 a nut for the rear exhaust bracket and #2 an exhaust bolt on the front bracket. Both of little expense and only noticed when I was cleaning the bike. I had some electrical issues with the head lamp and spot light fuses blowing. This I traced to be of my own doing rather than a factory prob. I changed grips... BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO THIS!!! There is very little room in the switch housing and the wire channel under the bars. I pinched a couple of wires which resulted in a dead short. I brought the bike back to the dealer for repairs and was very pleased to find out that I wasn't the only one to do this. They treated me right and I would urge anyone to let the dealer do this job. When I read this I come off as somewhat unskilled in the mechanical dept.. This is not the case, I have done numerous mods to bikes but these grips were rough. The rear tire is ready for replacement and is worthy of mention because there is no cupping, just even tread ware. I can prob get another 1500 miles out of it which will take to the end of the season. Ultra vs Goldwing...I looked at the GW strongly because I ride with 2 friends who have them and love them. All I can say is to each their own... I chose the Ultra and would do it again in a heart beat. Ride Safe!
