Since the first time i saw a Kingpin i thought it was the best looking bike i had ever seen. I have a 2001 v92c and a 2016 Vegas 8 ball and my beautiful 2006 supersonic blue Kingpin. Man, I bought a Ducati 848 thinking that I was wanting another Sport Bike. I have had both Cruisers and Sport Bikes over the years. But boy was I wrong being 49-yrs-old and riding a 848 Ducati. Not only was this bike the most uncomfortable bike I have ever owned, I could only go 85 to 95 miles on a tank of gas and the maintenance on this bike was like taking a mortage out on your house!! Enough about the Duc. I decided to let the dealership sell my Ducati. Well I sold it in about three weeks and lost 3,000 dollars. I had the bike for six months. Well, they had this 2006 Victory Vegas Nuclear Sunset paint scheme, which to me is the baddest paint scheme with ghost flames in 2006. The bike had the chrome triple tree, forks, rear spool, wheels, crash bars with built in pegs, all grips and pegs were Arlen Ness, peg with switchblades, Corbin front and back passenger seat, mirrors with turn arrows in mirrors and yellow LEDs on the backside of the mirrors ($550) Stage 3 cams with exhaust +s/s air box with K/N breather and Arlen Ness chrome backrest with pad. The bike was in show bike condition!! It had 4,200 miles. Oh, it has the tachometer addition, $300! I picked up the bike for $9,200 but this bike is a torque monster and scary fast. A Harley does not have a chance. I leave them at the light all the time. The V-rods are slow compared to this bike, but I would recommend Victory to anyone! They are bullet proof! The 6-speed tranny is nice, a little loud, but it is nice. But I would recommend if you buy a Victory - get the tach option!!

I love my Kingpin. After suffering through bland Hondas and extremely expensive and underwhelming Harleys, I finally found the perfect cruiser. My 2006 Kingpin Deluxe handles the road better than any cruiser I have ridden. I have put 18k miles on my bike in the past year and half and have loved every minute. I cannot say enough good things. If you are in the market for an American cruiser that offers, bulletproof reliability, great styling, and the latest technology, get a Victory. If you want to follow the pack, get a Harley, if you want to lead the pack, ride a Victory.

I have never regretted buying my beautiful 2006 Victory Vegas 8-Ball. I am most impressed with the value for the money. I am also impressed with the amount of torque no matter which of the gears you are shifting into. I have had to do little or no repairs to her (yes, she is a she and I have named her!) I do my own maintenance on her. I use synthetic oil and my dad makes me change it every year no matter how many miles I am able to put on her. She always gets the looks and I am always talking about her no matter where I am riding. It's a good thing I know so many of the specs about her. I would be comfortable selling these for a living I believe in them so much! I love bragging about it to my Harley owning friends. I can't help but tell them mine is faster, bigger, more reliable, more American made and I got WAY more bang for my buck! When my Harley friends take my bike for a ride, they can't help but say how awesome it rides and how smooth and comfortable it feels. My only complaint is the gas cap. But, only since I moved into California. California has those stupid, over-sized gas nozzles that the hinged cap interferes with. I have broke the gas cap off once (my only repair).

Set out to buy a Softail Duece. One ride on an 03 Vegas made me forget the hog immediately. Gotta be 30 more H.P. Traded the Vegas on a new 06 Hammer. (still more power) Absolutely love it. All my buddies have hogs. Told them I'd rather lead the pack than follow it. They feel that anything that doesn't have pushrods must be junk. Asked them if they still prefer smoke signals to the telephone. Lots o chrome! don't care for the all black Amish look. It's a cruiser. Gotta have bling. Only complaint...Bike likes as much octane as you can give it, but not so noticable now that it's broken in. Compression was lowered in 07 I noticed. Chrome on triple trees not the quality as all the other chrome components. Probably the last new bike I'll buy as I just turned 56 but will consider a used Kingpin to go with my Hammer and 74 Norton Commando 850. In short...Best bike I've ever owned and I've owned a lot of big bikes. It's a liftime keeper.

In 1989 I sold a business and was going to buy a bike to get back into riding (I rode about 75000 miles in the 70s). I decided to raise my family instead and when the time was right I would buy what I wanted, when I wanted. I waited 18 years to finally get my ride and I am so glad I did because the choices for me at that time were the other American bike or the New American Motorcycle. Well you can guess which one took my heart. I bought it with no reservations and do not regret my decision at all. Victorys are made for the serious riders. In 15500 kms I have not hade any issues with my Vegas. Even in a real hard rain they handle exceptionally well. If you're wondering should I or shouldn't I, do yourself a favour and purchase a large chunk of heaven. Put something awesome between your legs and ride a Victory. Just like the Eagles sang, Take it to the limit one more time. Ride hard but ride safe. For performance I would have put a 10.
