I think the handling of this bike is outstanding. The braking performance is great. It could use more horsepower but it has enough to make you smile. The black and the lines of the bike give it quite a personality. You do have to be leggy to ride it, it is tall. But it's just a fun all-around bike, and I highly recommend it.

What a great bike to ride. Plenty of power, top end about 120ish with a great deal of off the line. I don't like where they sat the feet pegs tho. don't keep your left foot under the shifter on hard lefts. I caught my foot and about broke it. But this is a great all around bike. But you must be a larger person to ride it. I am 5'11 200 pounds and I just touch the ground. I recommend this bike to any experienced rider.-

I`ve ridden my cb1000 about 13,000 miles in a year with no problems. Its fast enough to out run most cars off the line, but it is not extremly fast.It does pretty good on the freeway which most of my miles come from. I think its an all around good bike.

I own a 94 CB1000. It's styling is great for what the bike is, but it's not without its issues. First we'll start off with power, it's there, but another 20 hp would be appreciated. Yes you can take the cams out of a 900RR, put a pipe, blah blah, but my old CBX would eat the CB. Second, what's with the buzz in the handlebars.. it's so bad that after 100 miles you can't feel your hands. Aftermarket bars, bar ends, soft grips help, but not enough. Now if I could only find that old CBX

I have an 1982 Honda GL 500 Silverwing. It is a great bike to start out with as a tourer. It is very easy to work on, and requires very very little maintenace. Mine is a dailey drive to and from work, (40 miles round trip) mostly on the highway. Only draw back is the power. It is only a 500, so we can not expect much. With it liquid cooled, and shaft driven it is just a trouble free motorcycle. You have to give it to Honda, they do make quality products. I would recommend this motorcycle to anyone interested in a trouble free, wonderful tourer, that does not have a need for power.
