Great daily bike, can travel smoothly on highways, but doesn't excel with either road or trail riding. It's a weird medium between the two, and is a bit heavy for maneuvering trails. Getting a higher displacement model would probably be better, as this really doesn't put down the power to move all the weight around. Other than that, with minimal maintenance, it is a reliable fuel-injected bike, and can be quite a bit of fun after some getting used to its high, soft suspension.

This bike is amazing! If you don't like talking to people, this isn't the bike for you... people will ask you about it anywhere you stop :) Not only is it great offroad, but it's great for touring too, which is how I primarily used it. I have pics of it at the Tail of the Dragon, Back of the Dragon, in WV, NC, OH, etc... The suspension and wind protection on the highway are great. The bike has the power to cruise at 80mph without trying, and the Seat Concepts seat is fantastic for long hauls.
Don't get me wrong - it will go offroad like a bikes half the size. I took an offroad riding certification course on it and was blown away by what this bike can do. It has so much low down torque, that you really have to try to stall it. And the course instructor was on an Africa Twin too :)

Very well priced bike with a ton of features and the quality of the premium brands (BMW/Duccati).
This is the most comfortable long ride motorcycle I have tested, among others BMW, Ducatti, Harley, Kawasaki, both cruisers and dual sports.
The Adventure Sports model is extremely gorgeous and its presence is impressive. It calls for attention everywhere I go, even from Harley fanboys aha.
I have tested the DCT model of this bike but it gets very boring very fast. Most folks I know prefer the manual mode, even because it is more responsive on traffic.
I have ridden the AT model for 5 years and not a single mechanical issue. The engine is very reliable because of its low compression ratio.
The engine sound even with stock exhaust is remarkably likeable and somewhat loud. I did not feel the need for an aftermarket exhaust.
The engine power is immense 97HP for a bike this light (520lb) but it feels very balanced and secure due to the electronic delivery modes, which provide dozens of different combinations of configuration.
Due to the tall position, it is the perfect bike if you are exploring a region as your head will be usually above most passenger vehicles. Although it is a tall bike, the seat is not that high up. I am 5'10" and I can plant my feet on the floor with the seat in low position.
The center stand is a must have for maintenance. The bike comes with a built-in 12V socket that you can use to power your USB devices and phone.
Overall fantastic motorcycle for the price. I don't see any competition in this price range.

Honda, years ago, burst into the MC-field with the 250 cc dual sport and it was an instant hit with owners being deeply satisfied. It wasn't long after that owner feedback requested a more powerful model and Honda heard them. Enter the 2021 300 dual sport rally model with ABS (optional). To make it more appealing besides power, they added more looks (sleeker) and an extra-large gas tank. If that wasn't enough, they made it affordable too. The perfect bike was born. For those that wanted even more power, the 450 became available but required more maintenance for that power. Not so with the 300 which is why this bike remains in constant demand

great bike they are this is for the 2017 not 2016 wick seem there glitch there ,adding FMF ejk seat concepts seat for the price I paid for 2017 with 64 mile I saved for all the extras, the bikes do well of road too, from youtube video I have watched ,I will be mostly road riding ,an may do super moto, but will propbley keep it just the way it is for tires are perfect for on road an off, great looking bike efi cant say enough about ,want miss the carb ,though I may keep one on hand incase, dont go buy the new one from 2017 to 2019 are the same bike ,I know some hope to se the crf300l using the older cbr engine, the newer version with upgrades has more power then 2016 on back ,you can do so much to the bikes ,I think the best upgrade is the seat ,I also did the wider foot pegs 57mm makes me feel so much more stable ,there huge ,will probley get the folding shifter at some point an billet parts for dress up ,there is also a nice universal wind shield looks like it is stock,i did think about the rally sport, but seem to much plastic an does not show of the engine very much but still both nice bikes ,I would have got the rally at the right price ,I got the 2017 with 64 miles an not scratch for $1500, less then some are paying in the NE ,only problem was the shipping brokers out there these days made my purchace scary an took some time ,to find a desent shipper comfort goes to 5 stars with the better seat, the stock seat is for the younger guys
