Honda ST1100 ABS II reviews

Everyone says their bike is the best and that's fine. Whatever floats your boat. This bike is the best for me because it has everything a rider can want. It has handling, comfort, power, reliability, good gas mileage, good brakes, plenty of storage space and good one up or two. Oh yeah and I think it looks great. My bike is a 1995, I've got 42,000 miles and it purrs like my buds 600RR, it doesn't burn a drop of oil and the paint is stellar red. My friend is amazed that I go through the corners faster than he does on his CBR which if he was a better rider he'd be able to go faster but I scrape the pegs and this thing is leaned WAY over and doesn't complain at all. I also have an SV650 and I don't think I ride that thing as fast as the ST because there is no wind protection, which I was really looking for, and a good bike to take my girl on. This bike is really fun, I don't have a problem with the weight at all and best of all it really makes me crave riding long distances. Can't wait to go out to Fredricksburg this year and ride the hill country. Show less

Been riding sportbikes since 1984(FJ1100)have had over 16 of them,the ST is truly the best of the bunch!!Having owned this bike for little over a year now,I can find no faults with it.Yes the ABS is worth the extra cash trust me on this!!Honda has allowed you to customize this bike to your personal taste.I have equipped mine as follows:Givi 50 Litre Top Box Avon Tires Clearview Shield Dash Shelf Saddleman Gel Seat Throttle Rocker Chase Harper 1150 Tank Bag Garmin Color Streetpilot GPS Cobra Radar Detector This bike is as reliable as a Hooker during Fleet week,Would Definetly buy again!!! A few disappointing points: rearview mirror too far from main field of view. Handlebar not quite high enough. Slight instability at high speed in turbulent air (probably due to the size of the windshield). Too weak horn. Unbearable wind to the head of a pillion passenger. GOOD POINTS: Excellent reliability. Efficient and safe braking. Excellent riding comfort for long distances. Good protection from rain. Show less
