VF1000F: For its time it was a top performer and could go head to head with the 900 Ninja (Top Gun) bike. I was in the USAF stationed @ Hahn AB at the time of ownership and spent many miles on the AutoBahn and seeing the tach needle buried in the red and the bike never hickuped . Spend numerous laps on both tracks at the Nürburgring with the VF1000 and able to post 8:45 min, on Nordschleife with Metzler ME-33 /99. And a whole lot of history before racking up 35K km, before selling and returning to the states. It is an amazing machine and a V4. What configuration powerplant is in the HRC MotoGP since the series began? Yup a V4. Flyin Hahn,

Well it was this forum that inspired me to get a VF750F and after just two days and some pretty full on country touring I must say I am thrilled with the new beast. Mine has just had cam chain fitted, new tensioners, new diaphrams on the carbs, new tyres and full service. She runs very well, has heaps of power, and can cruise along nicely. Thanks to the guy from Canada who helped me make my mind up.

I purchased a used vf750f Interceptor after spending a few years "Bike Free". I wanted a bike with a bit more performance than what I had in the past, but was on a really small budget. Well, this bike proved to fit the bill! I purchased one for $1000 Canadian dollars, and have had a really good experience both riding and repairing this model. Parts are easy to come by, if somewhat expensive, and the bike is easy to work on. This bike is billed as the first production superbike, and it's legacy lives on in every sport bike since it's time. The Interceptor is very fast, handles very well, but is able to take you on a long tour, if that's what you do! I would recommend this bike to anyone who wants to try a sportbike for the first time, but does not want to commit 10 - 15 g's. It also comes in 500 and 1000 cc models.
