I put a mustang seat with drivers back rest, then took the leather off the rivets and put 2 inch thick honey comb jell pad (cut custom seat shape) then re-rivet the leather and its like Im sitting on a couch. I also put 2"inch riser on the handlebar (bringing them back toward me and and a little up) OOOH so Comfortable. put cobra pipes on, triple headlight, passenger platforms, upgraded grips, replaced leather bags with hard bags that I custom painted the two tone black/midnight blue with pin stripe - I DID IT PERFECT it matchs and LOOKS AWESOME - because I put LED flashers on the back of the hard bags, ars SEE MY BIKE at the stops. The bike only weighs 620lbs so it easier to handle than a big 950lb harley. AND does not shake/vibrate, its counter balanced, rubber mounted engine, fuel injected, water cooled, belt driven - all for a SMOOTH ride! OK it does not fly off the start its only 53 horse, it does seem to top out at 80mph, but for the cost, comfort and reliability - you'll never get me off my Vulcan 900 LT - GREAT bike!

This is by far my favorite bike. I have a 2002 Honda Shadow 750, got brand new. Nothing more dependable than a Honda, but under- powered. Got the Vulcan 900 used and have been riding it for three years. Very comfortable, low center of gravity, not top heavy, never worried about dropping it. Only negative is that it gets pretty hot. Bought a couple heat guards that took care of that. Last year bought my first Harley Heritage 1800, new. Nice bike but not my favorite. A solid bike that grips the road, rides nice, but top heavy and need help to pick up. Had issue with kickstand at night cause it is not seen being under running board. Modified to improve sturdiness. Highly recommend the Vulcan, All bikes get hot, especially the higher cc they are, but accessorizing is a must. I'm 5'4" and 130 lbs and 60 years young. Be safe!

I've owned a 2007 Vulcan 500 with about 12,000 miles on it when I bought it for one season now. Even at this age and with this mileage the bike is still great. My experience agrees with the other favorable reviews. It's a great performer, with an excellent engine. The only problem I've had with it is that it runs a little rough for the first 50 miles or so. I generally have to run it on half choke at mid-range speeds for about the first half an hour, and that seems to smooth it out. I've been adding an ounce or two of Techron per tank of gas and it seems to be getting better. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a good used small to mid-size cruiser.

I have had several Gold Wings, a Triumph Rocket 3 and a few others. Anyway I bought a new Kawasaki 900 Lt. At age 67 the bike does everything I want to do on a bike. I have no problems with 1000 to 1500 mile trips. Compared to my Rocket 3 the Kawasakis ride is a lazy boy of comfort. The front forks are a bit soft and bottom out on larger bumps. Folks complaints on wind buffing isn't a problem for me. It is a motorcycle and they are windy. The bike has ok power and shines at 65 to 70 MPH. So I stay away from busy interstates. State and County HWY roads and far less boring. The bikes overall performance is above average. The throttle return spring is a bit light for me. On bumpy roads it can be a little frustrating. The seat is ok and I have no plans to up grade. My girl friend finds the seat comfortable. The 5 gallon tank is very nice and gives excellent miles per gal. The clutch is easy on the hand. The 5 speed gear box is smooth and neutral is easy to find. This is my first bike without a shaft drive or chain. The belt gives a nice response when throttling up. The bike came with a nice set of tires. Dunlop how far they go has yet to be seen. The front disk brake is a little on the light side but doesn't feel weak. The bike has a nice sound stock. I'm not waking the neighbors at 5:00 am. My biggest complaints are the front soft forks, the paint is a little flat, the bags fake snaps don't fit properly. I hope this little review helps from a 40 year veteran rider.

Cold blooded yep, single carb yep, chain drive yep, manual choke yep, but what a fun bike to ride! She's a '99 with 30k kms on it. Had it for sale last fall, took it out to be sure it was workin' fine and on the way home I thought...."I need my f'n head examined!". Called the dude, apologized for the pullback. That little girl makes me smile every time I walk thru the garage to put the wieners out to pee. She's an original Harley 'wanna be' the bell ringer being the round chrome air cleaner...What a great bike! Lotsa chrome but no mods. Happy happy happy.

The 27-inch seat height is perfect. The bike is well balanced. I own three motorcycles and of the others, this is my favorite. It is well built, well-powered, and handles like a dream. My only complaint ever has been it only has 5 gears, no 6th for highway use. Other than that, I would buy this bike over and over again and highly recommend it over higher-priced motorcycles.

This is an awesome beginner to intermediate bike.Plenty of HP for city life. Quick acceleration to 70mph. Beats almost everything off the line. Really light weight for great cornering and braking while zipping through the city. Awesome on the back Highways and old scenic routes. Starts every time, although the CV carbs make it take a bit to warm up. They run really lean on the bottom end.Really comes to life around 6k rpms. Still pulls nice below that, but it's like a new engine fires up, all the way to redline. Keep's up with all my harley friends out on the back highways. we travel in packs, an i'm only one with a kaw, oldest bike too. gets lots of attention for being so old and yet out running with the pack. this bike is just right for someone smaller than 5'8". taller and it gets slightly cramped. adjusting you levers to your body helps make this bike super easy to ride. they hold up well to a bit of abuse, just change the oil and do reg maint. only bad about her beautiful plain jane look and style, she's so light sheer winds toss me around quite a bit. it's not so bad 2 up, but just me and i have to slow down or be blown across lanes like a leaf. keep it in the city or old highways and you'll have no complaints. shes a super fun bike, never gets tiring cracking tht throttle to get to 9 k rpms on the tach and slamming the next gear. tops out at about 115 mph, full pushing it ducked down hugging the bike. Great bike, find them pretty decently priced, run forever with a bit of maintaining, an i can get almost 60 mpg. A bit of abusing it and it drops to about 52 mpg. worst on a tank i ever got, riding balls out, 163 miles. did't hit reserve just died as i pulled in the station and stopped at the pump.
