I bought a 2007 450 SXF but went back to the 2006. The electric start is great on the 2007 but has no back-up kicker. The 2006 seems to pull harder than the 2007. It's great all the way around.... read more

This bike is simply awesome. The bike has an awesome power range and even in the tightest and slowest corners it seems to pull out extremely hard and the power continues all the way down long straights. It took a little while to get used to the slim body but it didn't take long to get the hang of it, and I was amazed who easy it was to ride. The suspension is a little harsh for the first hour or so until things loosen up but after a little tweaking this bike was displaying characteristics of the ultimate weapon. The main thing any new comer will have to get use to with these new big bangers is the art of kick starting these beasts and the huge amount of compression that causes the rear wheel to lock up while breaking, but once you have got use to this all you have to worry about is your arms getting pulled out of their sockets.
