I had a Ninja in 96, and finally after one summer my mother had convinced me to sell it and move to a cruiser. Ever since I have had custom Harleys. Recently, I was considering a sport bike, and saw the new GSXR 750 20th anniversary edition. From the moment I saw it in the showroom I knew it had to be mine. After a week, I finally decided for sure. I was on my way to pick it up. Once I had it broken in, I was beyond impressed. It is deffinately the fastest thing on two wheels I have ever driven. The redline of 14k RPM is irrelevant, as anytime you get to even 10k RPM at full throttle the front wheel comes off the ground. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. I haven't gotten the courage to rev it any higher in the other gears. Cornering? Freakin forget about it. The only complaint here is that in hard leans in off ramps, it has a slight wobble to it, but we are talking about 50-70mph off ramp speeds. Handling, again forget it. Choose your path, drop a few gears and twist the throttle, the bike does the rest. Only small complaint is even with a 190 rear tire with a wide contact patch, it's still just a bit too responsive. It's not so bad while in a normal riding position, but tucked at high speeds even thinking for a second that you might want to change lanes results in you being half way there before you realize it haha. Great overall bike, even pretty comfortable!!

This bike can be twitchy in first with the power band. I mean it's smooth, don't get me wrong (no surprises when you roll on it, no matter what gearing) but if you're in first and hang a fairly tight corner and tweak your wrist just the slightest, you're off and running - in VERY short order. Awesome. Also, the other biggest thing is maneuvering... you just start to look where you want to be and it slices right it. If you want a bike that you can sit back and enjoy the scenery on a Sunday afternoon cruise, this ain't it. Just looking at it will tell you that. Besides, you'll be going too fast to enjoy the scenery anyways on this machine. It's made to get you from point A to B by the quickest means possible. HIGHLY recommended machine for anyone who always wondered what it would be like to be a fighter pilot.

This bike is super fast. I have had mine hit 165 MPH with another gear left, but I am not the bravest person, so I let off. The bike was built for one thing - the race track. It is very uncomfortable even on short trips. The EFI makes the bike extremely responsive to the slightest twist of the grip. Almost too responsive, it can be snappy at times. This bike has killer brakes. Overall, this is a killer race bike.

I racked up some pretty good hours on it. The performance level of this bike is absolutely amazing. When you give it throttle, it takes off like a shot. And it handles like a dream. Tons of fun!
