This bike was bought from the original owner who purchased it new in 1996. He called it his Baby. I've had it for about 2 months and I love it. It is still very clean and the chrome and paint looks perfect. He did change the tires and went to a larger rear which helps lower cruising rpm. It has been very reliable for him and I anticipate the same. It starts right up and runs beautifully. Nice torque kick when you roll on the throttle at about 20 mph in second. I will be getting a new seat though.

I bought my '93 Intruder 800 in feb.2005 and started riding it as soon as the snow was gone. What a great ride, especially because it was my first time on a bike. It's easy to handle, very forgiving, lots of power if you need it, and very beautiful. It has 30,000 miles on it and runs like clock-work. After a lot of riding however, you do start to feel like you would like a bigger bike.

I just sold my 96 800 Intruder to a friend. I had it for 3 years & really enjoyed it. I rode it on last years Trail of Tears ride-230+ miles. It was just too small for somone my size who likes to take long trips-6' 4". My friend is about-5' 6", so it suits him fine.

I purchased a 95 intruder 800 I think this bike is a very well built bike, it as great look's lot's of power. Everywhere I go I get good excellent comments on it. The only thing I don't like is the seat is too hard! The newer model's 96's on up have the more padded seats but no other dislikes.

I purchased a used 94 with 9400 miles on it. Put roll bars and pegs on it. When it left my care for a 99 Shadow, tears followed. It is a perfect bike for the novice as well as the more experienced rider. Plenty of pick up and roll on speed. The choke must be fully extended in order for proper operation, especially in colder weather. Easy to handle.

This bike is a magnet for complements. I haven't met anybody who didn't love the style. And just like with some of the other reviews it has a squeaky front brake, and takes way to long to warm up but there are fixes to cure that. Oh and one other thing, you find yourself wiping it down all the time because you just don't want to see it dirty.

Great looks, performance and class. I haven't had a single mechanical malfunction in 20K miles. Draws compliments like flies to honey. Seat is hard to handle after 30-45 minutes of riding. The hydraulics get a little mushy in 30-40 degree weather. Stock shocks need to go, particularly if riding two-up. Great for short trips around town. However, all in all, biggest bang for your riding buck!!! No other V-Twin in same class can touch it in take-off and roll on power.
