2009 Yamaha FZ1

I bought a used FZ1 in Goodyear and it only had 591 miles on it. It came decked out like no other I had ever seen. It had a full fairing, fender eliminator and flush turn signals. When I purchased it, I added a Givi hard case system and this has got to be a "one of", because I've certainly...

When I purchased it, I added a Givi hard case system and this has got to be a "one of", because I've certainly never seen one like it. This is the fourth Yamaha I've owned. My previous rides included an FZ6, R6 and the fantastic R1. The FZ1 is the best of all worlds. You can sport it or tour it in my configuration. Mileage is good and the power is fantastic. I've owned other brands, Ducati, Honda, BMW, etc., but the FZ1 just might be the "keeper" I've been looking for.

2009 Yamaha WR250R

I bought this new in June, 2010 and have put on 7,500 km. since then. I use it for my daily commute and exploring on the weekends. It's very reliable--not a single issue (other than my own breakage). Despite the lack of a rack, I strap my Sea Eagle inflatable kayak on the back and hit some of...

I bought this new in June, 2010 and have put on 7,500 km. since then. I use it for my daily commute and exploring on the weekends. It's very reliable--not a single issue (other than my own breakage). Despite the lack of a rack, I strap my Sea Eagle inflatable kayak on the back and hit some of the more remote, hard-to-reach lakes near here. I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone considering a dual sport. It'll do 150 km./hr. top speed and climb most hills. My pet peeves are a small gas tank (7 litres), not terribly comfortable seat, and a rear turn signal that flops out when you look at it sideways. All in all, though, it's just plain fun.

2009 Yamaha Raider S

My Raider is a 2008. I bought it in Feb., 2009. I ride when ever the weather lets me. It handles great. The bike speaks for itself. I was looking to buy the M109 and then I sat on the Raider. I told the salesman ring me up on this one. It handles well for all my needs. I have the red...

2009 Yamaha V Star 1300 Tourer

This is my fourth bike, and finally I have found what I need. It has enough power to keep up with the hubby and a comfortable bike for someone my height. I did a 6-hour ride the first weekend I had it, and no back or butt pain. Still, I added a Mustang seat and the Royal Star Tour Deluxe...

I did a 6-hour ride the first weekend I had it, and no back or butt pain. Still, I added a Mustang seat and the Royal Star Tour Deluxe handlebars to bring me into the perfect riding position. I didn't even think that was possible!! Now, I have to convince myself it is time to go home.

I purchased this bike used in 2010 and I have not regretted it one bit. It is plenty aggressive and also user friendly at the same time. It is the perfect bike for a day to day commute or a weekend in the mountain twisties. I really enjoy the instrument cluster. It is always nice to know how much fuel you have and I can't understand why more manufacturers have not taken a hint from this. I would not say this is a beginner bike, anything that has close to a 100 hp. I do not consider beginner. It's probably a little under powered for two people but if you want something for two, this would not be the bike to look at. But other than that I highly recommend this bike. If you are looking for "bang for the buck" this is it.

I own a 2009 VMX17 (VMAX 1700) and I urge you to buy this motorcycle. With more years on more motorcycles then most men have been married, I can truly say this bike is the best motorcycle that I've ever ridden. The VMAX corners better than any other cruiser on the market today. This awesome bike is not intended to race on a race course, but handles like it could. The VMAX was intended to go down a 1/4-mile track (and fast, too). The wide aftermarket tire gives this beast the meat it needs to stick to the road/track. There is no problem with turning at slow speeds with the stock tire. There is no issue with the stock suspension but the transmission could use another gear to reach over the 200 mph. mark. I have never shifted four times before 35 mph. In fact, I usually shift into 2nd gear at 50 mph. after a twist of the grip. This will be the only bike I will ever ride. I can't wait until the Gen III VMAX comes out. It's hard to resist the twist, I love this bike.

It gets great gas mileage and low insurance costs makes it a great vehicle for any student such as myself. I ride in Phoenix where it is hot during the summer months. It has had trouble starting each and every summer I've owned it when parked in the sun for a period of time. Covered parking and not riding in the afternoon prevents one from becoming stranded.

This 1300cc is a great size and Yamaha Star rules Honda VTR 1300 is single carb., no belt and is a slug. Yamaha V-Star 1300 rules!!
