Nice for running about town, decent build quality, a lot of third party upgrades and add-ons available. Decent balance and pickup, very reliable as is basic (a good thing less complexity means less to go wrong). A little small for me at 6’ tall, but shorter friends love it. Show less

Has something like 1,000 miles on it. Was for my wife and she just doesn’t ever ride it and has lost interest in it a while ago. Newer battery, runs perfectly. Just been sitting in the garage and I fire it up every now and again. Basically like new. Show less

I’ve owned my 883 for 23 years. I’ve had other bikes BMW GS, V Strom and a couple of others but I’ve always kept the Sporty. Have ridden it around Australia twice. Taken it on dirt tracks and up rugged mountains. It’s a great bike if you set it up right. Get a comfy seat, longer shocks and some saddlebags. If you’ve got little soft hands and a delicate bottom then well this bike is not for you. The 883 is a way better bike than the 1200 it’s better on fuel and cruises real nice at around 110kmph. Never had any issues. Change the fluids, and replace the battery every 5 years. The sportster is a great bike. Show less

Fun and easy to ride. Well balanced just under powered I think. Awesome starter bike. I'd recommend replacing stock shocks and seat. Ride is real rough and you can feel every little bump in the road. The stock exhaust makes it sound like a lawn mower. Kinda sad for a HD. I put some shark road slip ons on mine. Sounds better than my triglide with neighbor hater slip ons.. Show less

The Sportster 883 Low is a very good bike and very reliable. My favorite things about it is how it looks, low slung with the classy Harley Sportster Look. It gets better than 50 miles/gl on my short road trips through the country. It's easy to drive with its lower position with plenty of power with 1 passenger. I was more reserved with 2 passengers (usually my kids) so I didn't push it but it did fine. It's super easy to service and it's easy to switch from my single seat to the 2 Up Soft Harley Seat for changes in ride, comfort and style. The negatives about this bike is that on rough roads, it can be a bit of a rough ride. I think this is due to the Sportster Low having less travel in the shocks to give it the low profile. My single Indian Seat was fairly comfortable, but if I was riding for 30 minutes or more or the country road I was taking was rough, I switched out the seat for the Harley 2 Up soft seat. It's wider and has much more support making the ride much better and more enjoyable. The 2 Up Harley Soft Seat also allows me to slide back to the back seat when I want to stretch my legs while driving. The factory 2 Up seat can be made to a 1 Up seat so it looks cool, but the seat doesn't have much support so I didn't use that seat much. Overall, I love this bike. Very fun to drive around town and the country roads with good acceleration, light and easy to maneuver. I would definitely recommend it, but with the softer seat that Harley makes for this bike. What can I say. Harley knew exactly what they were doing when they crafted the 883. A beautiful and solid made frame and engine. The absolute only thing negative I have to say is if you’re over 6.2 ft tall you may not enjoy this bike as much on long hauls. Would recommend to anyone looking for a bike! Show less

I got this motorcycle in a trade with 270 miles on it bone stock. Got it to re sell it but with an air cleaner and pipes it woke the lil purple monster up. Needs Fwd controls for a taller rider but a great bike for begginners. Not a rocket but fun as hell.... would recommend unless the imports are your style /USA and "TRUMP" 2020 Show less

This was my first Harley. I kept her for a little over a year and over 5,000 miles. I really enjoyed the time we had, but the more I rode the further I wanted to go and the more my wife wanted to ride with me. The sporty was great for me (at 245 pounds). Then you add my wife (at 105) and it was time for a Street Glide. Show less
