I love this bike. My last bike was a Harley Ultra Classic Electra Glide and this one certainly does not dissipate. This Indian Chieftain Classic rides and performs comfortably and great. I don’t use it enough and have decided to part ways with it as my riding days are behind...

1947 Indian Classic

My opinion is that the 1947 Chief is the best model year built by the Springfield, MA, company. The girder front end handles the road better than any bike I have. It has a low center of gravity, making it easy to handle and maneuver. The bike is entirely mechanical and easy to work on. Parts are...

My opinion is that the 1947 Chief is the best model year built by the Springfield, MA, company. The girder front end handles the road better than any bike I have. It has a low center of gravity, making it easy to handle and maneuver. The bike is entirely mechanical and easy to work on. Parts are readily available, too. The beauty is the fact that everything on the bike has a purpose and function. You can literally change the tires without having a lift!

Great bike handles great at speed or in tight places like around town. Perfect daily commuter. The bike has all the amenities I want great tech but still has that classic look. Reliable fun to ride and 10k less than what Harley offers plus a bigger motor. You want a name then I guess buy an...

This bike, this work of mechanical art, a bike that's almost organic in the absolute love that you'll come to have for it. I actually named it Shangri La, from a Led Zepelin lyric. I live in SW Pennsylvania; Shangri La. has provided me with many adventures in the mountains. I even took a trip or two to Flight 93 Memorial and Gettysburg. The longest ride that I took her on was to Bowling Green, Ky. The ride there was unbelievably comfortable. My route is usually going from Cincinatti to Louisville, on down to Bowling Green. That one time, I decided to go through Lexington, Ky. for some sightseeing. This took me a good way out of the way, by the time I turned my forks back towards my true destination, the sun was beginning to get low. Shangri La gave me enough power with her 111 Thunderstroke engine, that I reached my destination before dark. All through my trip, any trip actually, I get tons of compliments on her. Many people think it's an antique bike, due to the new corporate owners of the Indian Name, Polaris, modeling the Indian Vintage from the 1948 year, just with 21st century technology. I am selling her with a tremendous amount of sadness and reluctance due to my second bike wreck where I went down hard. I'm 65 years old now and beginning to feel my mortality. Shangri La, because she in being my dream bike of all time, btw the bike I went down on was a Sportster 1200. Any who, I did annual preventative maintenance on her, she has been garage kept. This bike will give you a status of at least one cut above. I can't really add much more, except to say I love her, and you will to. The only wear that you will see, is understandably the seat, from me riding her. I would include a statement of being negotiable, but the asking price is already what Cycle Trader states as typical asking price. If I were to negotiate, and that is a big if, I may consider some but remember, you are getting a very good deal...

This 2000 Indian Chief motorcycle in cream and black is a stunning and classic bike with a retro design. It featured a timeless color scheme of cream and black, giving it a vintage and sophisticated look. The cream-colored bodywork was complemented by black accents and detailing, creating a striking contrast. The chrome finishes added to the bike's luxurious appeal, while the classic Indian Chief logo on the fuel tank added a touch of heritage and tradition.
Riding on wide white-wall tires, this Indian Chief exuded elegance and style on the road. The powerful engine, comfortable seating, and smooth handling made it a pleasure to ride, whether cruising through city streets or hitting the open highway. Overall, this 2000 Indian Chief motorcycle in cream and black was a beautiful and iconic machine that captured the essence of classic American motorcycle design.

Just got this beautiful bike and the shop that customized it can’t seem to fix the front brake they are telling me that’s just an Indian I can’t believe everyone with a bike like this is running with no front brake. Has anyone had this issue and if you what is the fix. The back brake is fine but you need the front to work that where the braking comes from. Any help would be appreciated.
The bike is perfect in every way except the brake issue.
Thanks

June 2017, I ordered a Time Bandit Classic PS. Wired the owner $19,000 with a purchase order to have the bike built and delivered in 4 weeks. Balance due on delivery. After 4 months of excuses, I asked for my full refund. They told me they could not refund me until they built and sold the bike. They sold the bike in 2019, two years later and kept my money. After my civil lawsuit on them, they only paid half back. Today is June 2021 and can not locate this company. I only saw pictures of the bike at another dealership trying to sell it. Not happy with the owners. Thanks for reading my honest review.

Its an absolute tank! Looks like a shiny new Harley Davidson, despite being 23 years old. Currently have 53,000 kms on it (about 33,000 miles). It sat in a basement not moving for 12 years, when I got it, it was under a half inch of grime. Cleaned the carbs and gas tank, dropped in a new battery, and it roared to life like it was driven yesterday. A day of cleaning and fluid changes, and it was like a brand new bike. Tourque for days, and with the suspension set to 4 it corners like a champ. Its amazing the lean it can get, and the power out of the turns!!
Its a Honda. Nobody's quite sure how long they last, since if they are reasonably taken care of (read: occasional oil changes and try to avoid snow), they keep firing up and running forever.
If you are reading this because you see a deal on an old one, and wondering if they are a good bike, do it. do it now. You're sitting in front of a computer (or phone) when you could be getting one of the best bikes on the road!
