I got this new in 2003, TTR125LE, and it was the first dirt bike I ever rode. It's amazing for starters, and really anyone. If you have a 250/450 this bike is amazing for play. The suspension is really set for trails, over jumps it bottoms out. Handling feels secure and the weight isn't bad (179 dry, about 185-190 with liquids). Power is sufficient almost always, especially for beginners-intermediate riders. Braking is excellent (front disk 220mm and rear 110 mm drum, non-Large models have front and rear drum braking). Exhaust sounds nice stock and so does after market exhaust, definitely for those watching you, seeing as they don't have muffling helmets on. The seat height is 31.7" making it very accessible. Hope this helped :)

This V Star had 5100 miles, garage kept in mint condition, and with all the upgrades previous owner installed, I couldn't pass it up at a very reasonable price. Took the MSF class and finally took her out for trial runs a few days ago. All I can say is WOW, what a great motorcycle. Ran great, plently of V-Twin power on demand, easy cruising at 60mph in low 5th gear (almost felt like she wanted to run in 4th at that speed). Shifting was very positive, shaft drive smooth as silk, stock seat was good, but would need to be changed for very long rides. Great bike.

I am the second owner of my R6, because the 1st owner didn't have time for it, but he has a lot of compliments for it, he loved it and he praised it; he was sad when he sold it to me, and I was the happiest man in the world, what a great machine! Flies through corners and is fairly comfortable. I honestly feel like I can get out of any bad situation on the road when I'm on this bike. Great choice!

I came off of a Suzuki 650 and I'm so glad I chose the 1100. It is smooth riding, doesn't scream at me at 75 MPH, and easily carries a passenger. If you can afford the 1100, don't pass it up!

What a terrific ride for almost 6000 miles on that trip from Las Vegas to DC and back. Not a single problem! After my trip I started to investigate upgrades. I am quite proud of my Silverado and I receive numerous compliments. It has plenty of power and just looks great. I plan on keeping this one for quite awhile.

I purchased it new in 2004 and I really am super pleased with it! I'm so satisfied with my 2003; bad for Yamaha, I don't even consider a new one. Why should I? My daily one-way commute is 65 miles and I've ridden my Road Star in the worst of thunderstorms, heavy rain, cold weather, and heavy Wash., DC traffic (not to mention my recent 4K round trip to "Sturgis 2005"). Like many others, the wait for warm-up is more than I like, but I've learned to just ride off with the choke partially on for about a mile, then push it the rest of the way in and ride on. It's a solid ride with plenty of power and stability -- I highly recommend it more for experienced riders, though, because of the weight and power!

It handles great and is quite nimble in the curves. I love the low seat height as it creates a low center of gravity.
