This is my first bike. It is a great first bike. I have no regrets. There was one minor oil leak when new (oil cooler line - replaced) and the rear wheel clear coat peeled (replaced). It is very fun, nimble and very stable. The front springs are fine, if you use both brakes like you are...

This is my first bike. It is a great first bike. I have no regrets. There was one minor oil leak when new (oil cooler line - replaced) and the rear wheel clear coat peeled (replaced). It is very fun, nimble and very stable. The front springs are fine, if you use both brakes like you are supposed to. Metzlers are great - do it in the rain, too. It is a little sportier than the America. I think the Gunfighter seat is fine, and have made several 300-400+ mile trips (one day trips).

THE GEAR BOX IS BREAKING IN WELL BUT I HAD SOME TROUBLE SHIFTING BETWEEN SECOND THROUGH FOURTH FOR AWHILE. EVERY MILE I RIDE PUTS A SMILE ON MY FACE. THIS BIKE TURNS HEADS! I AM HAVING THE LICENSE PLATE AND REAR TURN SIGNALS MOVED UP UNDERNEATH THE SISSYBAR RACK. WHY YOU WOULD COVER THAT MASSIVE REAR TIRE IS A MYSTERY TO ME. I CAN'T WAIT TO GET IT BACK.

Sometimes I am grinnin, sometimes panting, this thing scares me sometimes and thrills me to bits. Some practice is needed for the slow haul and u-turns, it never runs out of patience and has more guts than I do. Nothing broken yet, but do not look down at the dials at speed. Up-close with the...

Some practice is needed for the slow haul and u-turns, it never runs out of patience and has more guts than I do. Nothing broken yet, but do not look down at the dials at speed. Up-close with the luggage and screen, she draws crowds when parked up or on the road. This is not a bike you can go somewhere quietly or privately on. A bike with passion and attitude!

It's got great handling, more than adequate performance (Triumph aftermarket pipes and jets fitted) and is a great handler. I also think it looks very classy in Aztec Green and Gold. An annoying fault with the indicators was sorted out quickly and very apologetically by my dealer. If you're looking for hyper top speed and acceleration then you will be disappointed, but if you want a great "real world" bike - look no further.

Had the oppertunity to ride this bike a month ago at the local dealer. I feel Triumph's idea to not build a V-Twin is great! The Harleys I have ridden have become as exciting as watching the dog take a cr#p! I rode a V-Rod a week before, and the Rocket beats the Rod in power, handling and comfort. Roll the throttle on in 5th gear and you have some major serious muscle dragging you forward. The bike feels really light for 2300cc and the handling was very good for its size. I was very impressed with the RocketIII and would highly recommend it if you want to add an exciting bike to your stable. Barry

After 4500 miles in about three months, I've come to the conclusion that Triumph's Daytona 600 might just be the best bike in its class for real roads. It has superb suspension with a broad and meaningful range of adjustment. The ergonomics, while sporting, are reasonably comfortable for a six-footer, the only front-line 600 other than the Suzuki that can make that claim. The seat is good for a tankful (c. 175mi. at freeway cruising speed), and the wind protection is decent. The handling is superlative, especially with the suspension adjusted for my non-inconsiderable weight. With the clickers all around set to approximately a quarter of their range down from max, the bike is well controlled when riding hard but remains reasonably compliant over rough patches. The steering is quick but neutral, and the bike has that hard-to-pin-down sense of intuitiveness that boosts rider confidence. Whatever engine performance deficits it may suffer in comparison to the other four-cylinder bikes in its class are largely only noticible on the track and in the hands of an accomplished rider. With the latest injection map, it pulls well from the midrange and certianly seems fast enough for me, a rider previously used to liter-class twin sportbikes. More frantic than those twins, of course, but that just goes with 600 supersport territory. No problems whatsoever, so far, and the bike seems well put-together. All-in-all, I'm very happy with my Daytona.

Having run T150's for the last 30 odd years, this is some change to my riding style. The T150 likes to rev between 3,000 and 8,000 rpm. The Rocket just pulls in any gear at any rpm. (no need to rev out). Handling is better than expected on the Rocket(I purchased without a test ride). Although I...

(no need to rev out). Handling is better than expected on the Rocket(I purchased without a test ride). Although I rub the right hand peg often, I can easily use most of the tread with confidence. The T150 3 into 2 exhaust system with Dunstall replica mufflers has always been music to my ears. The Rocket is so bloody quiet it is almost boring. Having said that, there is a slight improvement to the exhaust note as the km's increase. I am hoping that some good aftermarket mufflers become available soon. This is a great bike to ride. The riding position suits me better than the T150, and the gel seat is definitely better than the wooden slab on the T150 (and I thought it was comfortable all those years). I reverse the Rocket into the shed now so as the first thing I see each morning is the 240 rear tire under that fat rear guard. Very nice.

I bought this bike in July and have put 1,800 trouble free miles on it. Runs like a dream, and keeps up nicely with the "bigger bikes". The service has been excellent, though I haven't needed anything but a break-in oil change. I receive constant compliments and during the 9-11 ride from DC to NYC I got a string of nice comments about my bike mostly from the HD riders. Drawbacks: power up steep hills, and I wouldn't suggest two up for any distance. Stock exhaust is too quiet, drivers were surprised when I passed but a new exhaust cured that and boosted performance. Those are minor complaints for a bike that is a joy to ride, it handles like a dream and looks like a million bucks. Overall a great bike and for the price positively outstanding!

Just got this 2 days ago and already have 220 miles on it. I have had just about every type of bike and currently ride a '03 HD Screaming Eagle Road King (It has a 103 ci motor and is pumped to 117 hp / 120 torque) BUT it is nothing compared to this baby. I bought my Red Rocket in Reno and it was delivered to my home this past Saturday. It is merely the best riding experience that I have had to date. Now my Harley is GREAT, but it is a different beast. THIS bike is a dream come true! At 3k I am blasting by others at 80mph - I can see how 110 in 3.9 seconds is totally possible! At 105mph this bike hugs the road like tack paper. No viabration and I have the feeling that it just wants to go faster with ease. Will write an update after more miles.
