I have been riding bikes for 35 years. It is by far the best handling and smoothest bike I ever owned (6). The engine and transmission are mated perfect to keep you in the power curve with plenty of reserve for me. I still have the stock seat on so it is still too early to tell whether I need to upgrade for more comfort or not. I have just noticed the front brake squeak that so many of you have talked about and how to fix it. My dealer will take care of that with no problem. I will be looking forward to a long relationship and a lot of miles with this FLHX.

Well it's better than I expected. I went from Honda ST1100 to 07 Street Glide. Bike No 7 & so far it would be the No 1 bike but I say that of all my bikes as I ride everyday. Sun & rain it likes it all. 2 months old & 500kms on the beast & many more to...

I took delvery of my bike in Rochester, Mn August of '06 and after not being on bike in 35-years and never on a Harley, road the bike 350 miles to my home in Illinois. I did not feel any fatigue until the last 20-minutes. I have addded chrome and pipes and think the bike is great. Plenty of power,...

It's an awesome bike. Handles great, runs strong as hell, and with the pipes there is no noise in the drive train. Gets plenty of attention. I love it!

I will have one year with the Deluxe this July and so far, no problems. I put +7K on it in my first three months and would have done a lot more if I had the time. This is my first Harley and I am very impressed with the quality. I too have had a suprise or two in the corners when I scraped the boards but the bike is simply perfect at highway speeds and handles perfectly. Importantly, the brakes are terrific. I am not happy with the lack of high-end power in passing situations in the mountains (I live in BC and we ride through mountains) so I am going all the way up to a stage 3 modification this spring. I would also love another gear but Harely wants $4 K to change transmitions so I will make do with the 5 speed. This is a great bike. I will never sell it. I should not have waited so long to get a Harley.

2006 Harley-Davidson Night Rod

I finally found somewhat of a fix for the 2006 Night Rod's small fuel tank problem. As I said in the past, you can get about 120 miles out of the 2006 Night Rod if you are careful. However, there are times when you have gone 80 miles and the next station is 50 miles up the road. So I went to REI...

I finally found somewhat of a fix for the 2006 Night Rod's small fuel tank problem. As I said in the past, you can get about 120 miles out of the 2006 Night Rod if you are careful. However, there are times when you have gone 80 miles and the next station is 50 miles up the road. So I went to REI and they have a liter size thermos style fuel tank for camp stoves. The tank is specifically designed for fuel and seals well. I got one and filled it with fuel and put it in the saddle bags. So far I have not needed it, but it gave me an extra liter of fuel in case I do screw up and go too long. The 2007 Night Rod corrected this problem but the tanks are not interchangeable. A sharp after-market supplier might try to find a way to make a replacment tank, but for now the REI camping fuel bottle works great for gasoline. Does not leak and does not smell up the saddle bags, but stays there in case you need it.

My 2006 Cobalt Blue Dyna Low Rider now has 10,000 plus miles on it. I have had no difficulties whatsoever. After staying with stock pipes forever, my significant other convinced me to make my Harley SOUND like a Harley. I am truly glad I did!!! I added a Stage 1 highflow airfilter, Cycle Shack slip-on mufflers with the tapered tip and the ECM download. These Cycle Shack mufflers fill the bill perfectly. I kept the stock look that I love and enjoy the deep, throaty sound that is the hallmark of every great Harley. Best Harley ever!!!
