2006 Honda reviews

Typical Honda-top notch fit and finish, rock solid handling, smooth fueling and good looks. It's also easy to work on doing self-maintenance activities like crank case oil and the final drive. I wanted a V-twin for the type of power delivery it gives. This machine gives you plenty of power delivery; more than you'll ever need legally. As I left the dealer on my first ride I couldn't believe how it pulled in every gear. Comfort is a bit down for me just because of the forward location of the floor boards rather than directly under me. I plan to cut off the heel shift peg so I can use the entire floor board on that side. The seat is a little thin but for around 100 mile ride it's no problem. It would lean over farther if the floor boards didn't scrape. Handling in the canyons around here is superb. At speed, 110mph, it's rock solid. I don't have that many miles but no problems at all. Bought it last November as a left over new bike; great deal and big bang for the buck. Show less

I bought this bike new in 2007 which was the last year that they were made. I can not say enough about how great this bike is. Just put gas in and take off. The bike handles like a dream in the curves and has plenty of power for everthing else. I have rode this bike for 2 years now and have had no mechanical problems at all. I can not understand why Honda discontinued this model when it is such a great bike. I would highly recommened this bike to anyone. Show less

I have taken this bike everywhere, from cross town to across states. The bike is dependable, comfortable and very appealing. The bike always hauls two riders and never misses a beat. My only immediate recomendation is the addition of floor boards for the passenger. Show less

It's been along time since I rode dirt and just bought 230crf bike and it's perfect for me to get back in the groove of riding a bike. Great power when needed and it's pretty fast. I'm happy with it. I bought it used and it started right up. No probelms yet. Show less

This is an excellent bike from Honda. Almost maintenace free. Replace the oil on time, check coolant, breaks and tires and you'll have an extremely reliable motorcycle. I always ride with my wife around and we like to hit the freeway for long trips. Powerful and fast. I am really impressed with its performance. Show less

BOUGHT THIS BIKE A YEAR AGO AND I MUST SAY IT IS A ROCK SOLID RIDE! REPLACED THE SEAT WITH A MUSTANG WIDE TOUR SEAT AND BACKREST. NOW THE RIDE AND HANDLING IS AWESOME. PERFORMANCE IS AMAZING FOR SUCH A HEAVY MACHINE. NO REGRETS HERE! Show less

Got this bike as a leftover in 08. Learned how to us a clutch on it...I love it. Really good beginner or a second bike. Great on trails - maybe going to race on it. Show less

This is my 2nd bike. I bought her during a midnight sale event in Wisconsin last Aug 15th 2009. The bike has 1603 miles when I took her out from the store. I started riding Oct 2008 with a Ninja 250. After developing some confidence with my riding skills, I decided to upgrade to this model. At first when I did the test ride, I was a bit intimidated but I got used to it in as little as 2 minutes. The bike is powerful and I just love it especially when passing at the freeways. I filled up twice since I bought my bike. With my 2 fill ups, gas economy is averaging at 45.8 mpg. Too bad, Honda stopped making this model. Show less

I was sorry that I got rid of my VT1100, but this bike is unbelievable. The acceleration takes your breathe away. Show less
