I purchased a Sportster in February of 2008. I had put on 3200 miles by June when I traded it for my Super Glide. I have put on a pillow seat. I ride all the time. I know Harley is trying to avoid legislation on noise, but hey, it's a motorcycle. Other than that I love it!

I was looking at a 2008 Fat Bob when I caught a brief look at the 2008 FLHX. It was love at first sight. I knew then that I had to have one. Mine is black pearl what a beautiful color to look at. I love the way this bike handles. It does not feel as heavy as it may look. I have installed heat shields between the seat and frame. They push a lot of the heat away from you. I have added a few accessories for that personal touch.

This bike is great! It gets very good gas mileage at cruising speeds. I got 50.5 mpg on a ride to Baton Rouge and was equal to my buddy's Fatboy. My bike is black pearl and the compliments are never ending. It is a comfortable ride all the way around, especially with the Sundowner touring seat and... read more

Ride safe!

I bought this bike August 12th and absolutely love it. I have put a little over 2000 trouble-free miles on it. I love the counter balanced 96 motor on it; it runs so smooth. And the six speed tranny is just so great. It shifts in so easily. This is my 4th Harley; the others being a 1200 Sportster,... read more

And the six speed tranny is just so great. It shifts in so easily. This is my 4th Harley; the others being a 1200 Sportster, Electra Glide standard and a FXDL Low Rider. But this bike by far has them beat. With the big fat rear tire it holds the road just awesomely. And honestly, I love the ride on this bike better than the Electra Glide. Go test ride one. You'll be glad you did.

It uses and leaks absolutely no oil. I had to adjust the clutch only once and did the tranny service myself and will do the chain case service tonight. Oil changes every 3000 miles. Changing the oil filter is messy but I will figure out a clean way to do it soon. I can't wait for the weather to get a little cooler so we can run up to Bar Harbor to see the colors in the state of Maine.

I've always wanted a Harley but always talked myself out of it to purchase a less expensive metric bike. I finally pulled the trigger and bought the 105th Anniversary FXDWG. What a difference! All the chrome is really chrome, not plastic made to look chrome like on the metric bikes. The feel, the ride, the sound, it all makes you feel like you're on motorcycle. Now experiencing a Harley, I will never buy another brand of bike unless it's to get back on a sport bike and that will be an addition not a replacement for my Harley. Metric bikes are nice but nothing compares to being in the saddle of an American made Harley Davidson. If you want a Harley, don't make the same mistakes I did and purchase a metric bike for its cost, just pull the trigger and get what you really want.

If you're looking for a great all round ride for town and highway, the Softail Deluxe is hard to beat. The balance is amazing for a 700 lb. machine. It feels much lighter. Some say the Heritage will give you more for your money because the bags and windshield are included, but I found the Heritage didn't feel quite the same as the Deluxe. Everyone's tastes are different, but for me I've found my bike. I'm looking forward to many enjoyable miles.

The Low Rider came in a few days ago and I already put 500 miles on her. What a blast she is to ride! She doesn't compare to my Road King in looks, smoothness, comfort or power but she sure is a blast to ride! The power to weight ratio is the best and she is very comfortable and maneuverable... what fun! Hats off to my wife for spoiling me with two awesome bikes! Thanks Florence, you're the best, my honey!

I'm a 51 year old rider with 34 years of riding under my belt and have owned over 30 plus motorcycles of all types. In this stage of my life I wanted a comfortable, safe, not over powered bike. This bike fits the bill for me. It has plenty of power in the mountains and is very stable on the freeway and in windy conditions. I don't have a lot of time to ride and in recent years I've become an "only in ideal weatherrider. I've had the bike up to around 95 and it's very stable. My only complaint is the rear shocks occasionally bottom out. I will replace them with custom shocks that can handle my weight.
