It was beautifully maintained. In the time I've had it I've ridden it 7000 miles in a little over a year. There has not been one issue nor inconvenience with this bike. It has been simply fabulous to own and ride. It is great around town or even on a 1000 mile trip. The only thing I really don't like is the small front tire and fender but then again that's what makes it a Dyna I guess.

I needed to get away from my Yamaha sport bike and find something more comfortable and less maintenance intensive. All roads led me to the Superglide. My local HD dealership was running a $1500 gift card promo with big twin purchase so I snagged that incentive and ended up with a well decked out bike for not too much money. The bike is rock solid. Paint and fit/finish are far higher quality than comparably priced metrics. The 96 ci twin pulls like a freight train, sounds awesome, looks cool, has given me NO indications that it might overheat in traffic, and only calls for oil changes every 5000 miles. The only beef I have with HD is that unless you get a model that already has accessories, it costs quite a bit to make the bike your own. I should also mention that the Sportster 1200 was my first choice. After discovering what short legs that bike has for highway riding the Dyna proved to be the way to go. That 6th gear makes all the differance in the world and the cost from Sporty to Dyna doesn't really break the bank. Oh, and I have to say each of the HD dealers here in N'ville are so much cooler accross the board that any of the metric shops. Customer service at mine would get 5 stars.

Having owned motorcycles since 1970, with a used red 1982 Harley-Davidson FXR Super Glide in the mix for the longest run of 9 years, I decided to purchase another one. This time a new black 2008 Harley-Davidson FXD Super Glide, with it's 96 cu.in. Evo engine, 6 speed, fuel injection and beefier front end, just to name a few major differences. This bike sits right, feels right and delivers pure smooth power. I feel proud to say I own this machine, and would highly recommend it to anyone.

I have owned many different bikes including Sportsters, Crotch Rockets and dual sports. All those bikes have their place but none brought a smile to my face quite like my Street Bob. This being the first of the Harley big twins I've owned I now realize that to really get the Harley experience it has to be a HOG! I do have one concern though. I noticed at about 750 miles I started hearing a whine in 5th gear when I let off the throttle (that's why the 4 star for quality). I'm taking her in for the 1st 1000 mile maintenance soon. Hopefully I will get some answers. Back to the ride; it has good power and is a dream on the highway if you don't mind riding sans the windshield. Currently my Bob is bone stock but I have the K&N air filter, Power Commander V, and Supertrapp Supemeg 2-1 pipes that will be going on after my 1k maintenace. I may finally have found my forever bike!

Feet up and in front, arms hanging up at the shoulders, eyes forward, fists in the wind. Not a cooler look in Harley's as far as I'm concerned. Ride for a couple hours comforably, road unfolding in front of you. The rumble beneath you verifying that everything is alright in the world. Just don't try to corner too hard. The long rake and big skinny tire don't wanna be pushed at high speeds in the turns... this bike wants to glide and cruise. Plenty of juice to get you up to any speed you like. The brakes will take you down nicely from that top end. Heads turn everywhere you go and everyone knows instantly that it's a Harley Davidson.

This is the bike that I always dreamed I would own...almost. Bought mine used with 10k on it. The electric start is flawless. This is the bike that I always dreamed I would own...almost. Bought mine used with 10k on it. The electric start is flawless. The finish is top notch and overall I think this is most representative of old school choppers from the 60's and 70's. Having grown up in a biker household, this is the bike I always wanted. One caveat...rider comfort. Now when I first get on the bike and througout the first 10 miles or so, it's really nice. I like the factory ape hangers and the forward controls lean you back for that easyrider look. But after about 20 miles with no breaks, it starts to get into your back a little. don't get me wrong, it's still a blast and cool to ride, but it starts to require a little more effort. Add to that some heavy head winds that tend to make you kite and it can be a workout to get your miles in that day. If you can get past those issues I believe it's the coolest bike Harely ever made IMO. Powerful 88CU and smooth shifting 6 speed transmission. Plenty of get up and go...I have no problem getting 0-60 in a few short seconds and it'll crack 100mph easily if you don't let off. Gobs of torque and oustanding styling. I love my Wide Glide.

I have owned sportsters (never again), Softails, and Touring models, but this was my first Dyna. Having and Ultra, I wanted a play bike. And this was it. The big 96ci motor and 6 spd transmission on a light bike made for a quick bike. 6th gear on the highway will take you way faster than you want to go on such a small bike. Handling was good with the slightly thicker front tire, and traction was no problem with the 160mm rear. I really like that for around $275 you can put a 180mm on back. I would say the only down-fall was the pegs. It is not at all comfortable until you put forward controls.
