Ride is rough….Looks are great… reliability for a Harley it wasn’t to bad until 65 k miles then the valve train starts making noise!!! Harley just can’t seem to make an engine that will last …. sad for what they cost now!!! Show less

I recently had the unfortunate experience of owning a 2008 Harley Road King, and it pains me to say that it has been nothing short of a headache on two wheels. The combination of chronic electrical issues, particularly battery drain and bad ground problems, has turned what should have been an enjoyable riding experience into a constant struggle. First and foremost, the ongoing battery drain problems were a nightmare. No matter how diligently I maintained the bike, it seemed like the battery just couldn't hold a charge for more than a few days. Replacing the battery didn't solve the issue, and trips to the mechanic became a regular occurrence. The frustration of being stranded due to an unexpected dead battery became an unfortunate part of the ownership experience. Adding insult to injury, the bad ground issues exacerbated the electrical woes. Constantly chasing down wiring problems and dealing with shorts became a routine maintenance task. The lack of reliability in the electrical system was not only inconvenient but also a major safety concern. It's disheartening to invest in a bike that can't be trusted to start reliably and without issues. To make matters worse, the maintenance costs for the 2008 Harley Road King were exorbitant. Frequent visits to the dealership and specialized mechanics drained my wallet faster than the battery on this ill-fated machine. The combination of high parts costs and labor charges made routine maintenance feel like a financial burden, turning what should be a joyous pastime into a regrettable expense. This has been the best bike I’ve ever owned! The Road King is reliable, strong, and is one of the best looking touring bikes out there. The only discomfort I have is the reach needed for the handlebars. Sometimes on slow sharp turns, I have to lean forward to get a full extension. Show less

I love this bike it's my daily . I have 75k top end rebuild. I service and take care of my lady I just did a 1180 mile run a week ago was a great comfortable ride. I will keep her and just go threw this old gal would never get rid of this bike. Show less

Love love the bike. We’ll build, fast, and more. Beautiful head turner. I’ve been riding bikes for decades and was a big Japanese fan until I bought a new Harley ultra with all the trimmings. As big as it is very easy to control and two up can’t be best. Show less

I love this motorcycle. It has an amazing amout of power and tourqe. Its factory Harmon Kardon Stereo system sounds great even at high speeds. Extremely smooth comfortable ride, especially with the electronic cruise control. Just set your speed prop you're feet up on the highway pegs and turn up the music and just ride. Great on gas. I can drive over 300 miles on one tank. Steering stabilizer makes steering pretty much effortless. You won't disappointed with this bike. Very reliable and dependable. Show less

I have had no issues with mine., other that brakes and a brake line leak. It has been very dependable. My main dislike is the seat leaves something to be desired. We have been riding since 1976, started on a Kawaski 440 LTD. Way to small for two people. Went to a 2002 Springer and moved to the Ultra. Weight takes some time to adjust to, smooth on the road, never bogs down on a hill. Will chug long all day long. Show less

Decent shape. 85,000 miles. Clean title runs and rides just fine. Kenwood stereo. $5,000. No trades. Last service was last spring less than 100 miles on service. Only reason for selling is I bought another bike. Show less

Purchased in 2022 and a true barn find. I have owned many motorcyles and this is my 7th Harley. I teally like the 07 and 08 RKC's. Looked all over and could not find a low milage example. I came across this o e at a Kawasaki dealer that had literally came out of a barn after sitting for 15 years and only 4700 miles. Absolutely filthy and beutiful at the same time. Pearl white and pearl cobalt blue. Cleaned up and reconditioned many oarts this bike is awesome. I could buy a new one with cash but it would not look andfeel like this one. A work of art and a true nostalgic experiance. Hard to explain but its awesome. Show less
