It definitely takes some getting used to when you're taking off or riding very slow because the front tire is raked out a little bit. You will not likely ever see this bike out and about, so most people will stop you and say "WOW WHAT'S THAT?" Exciting to look at the accessories and upgrades to the bike as well!

I had always wanted an ST1100 or 1300, but just never took the step to get one until last November. The dealer had an ABS model that had been there a long time. I traded my 2009 Suzuki M90 and got a really good deal. I loved the M90, but it wasn't very practical for me. The ST1300 has just what I like in a motorcycle. It has weather protection, removeable saddle bags, an adjustable windscreen, shaft drive, water cooling, and a very smooth engine and transmission. It also has enough power. The things I dislike about it are the stock handle bar position, the stock seat, the quirky mechanical noises, and the too-quiet exhaust. The motor is noisier than my Burgman 650 even out on the open road. The things I like most about it are the smoothness of the V4 engine, the extremely smooth shifting transmission, and the good handling with plenty of ground clearance. I also love having a center stand, although it is heavy to put up there. I can do it, but it's a chore. Now that I have made some modifications it is a great bike for longer trips. I'm a little disappointed with the gas mileage I'm getting. Most of the time it's only around 38-40 miles per gallon. Maybe it will get better in warm weather and when broken in a little more. Overall I like it a lot.

It has the look and feel of a touring motorcyle and a comfortable ride for the passanger. The extra space for storage is such a plus. I'm thinking of a back trunk for a little more storage with the added back rest for the passanger. Thank you Honda for making this great bike.

Tons of storage space, can go food shopping and put all items in the under seat storage and in the GiVi top box. I get 58 mpg!! Traveling at 60mph. Lots of takeoff speed and top speed 120. I call it my wolf in sheeps clothing or my Super Scooter. Will buy one again when and if I can wear this one out. Jeff ,Caro MI.

I traded in my previous 600. I wanted something lighter and faster. I also wanted ABS brakes. There is nothing disappointing about this bike. Everything about it is great. The brakes are strong yet forgiving. I consider myself a beginner rider and this bike rides great if I'm just putting around or when I'm on it! It seems to take on another life after about 8k RPM (that's when it really shines)! The riding position is comfortable at least for a sport bike.

I purchased my Silver Wing ABS 2 years ago and have racked up over 11,500 miles. My dealer had this bike sitting on his floor for quite some time and wanted to move it so he dropped the price. I sold two bikes, a 2002 Honda Reflex 250 and a 2004 Moto Guzzi Breva because the Silver Wing was all the bike I needed. I upgraded to the Silver Wing because in addition to the occasional commute, I wanted a comfortable bike that I could do long distance touring on without the hassle of fitting saddlebags and strapping luggage to the back seat. The Silver Wing accommodates me nicely with a huge underseat trunk as well as my 37 liter Givi topcase, tankbag and two useful gloveboxes. Last summer I did a 9 day, 2500 mile trip to Nevada, Utah, Arizona and back home and had no issues having enough necessities packed away. As for the bike itself, I can't think of anything I'd rather be riding. This bike has smooth, awesome power that can reach 3 digit speeds with stability. It handles great on mountain roads, twisties and long stretches of highway and is always in the right gear. Having to get over to the slow lane to let cars pass isn't necessary because this bike has the power to keep you out in front. The ABS linked brakes do a great job bringing you to a safe controlled stop. With the right tools, the bike is also fairly easy to do basic maintenance such as tire changes, changing brake pads and oil and filter changes. The first valve check isn't due for 16,000 miles. Engine performance has been reliable for 11,000+ miles with no issues. I have gone on large group rides with all different makes and models of bikes and have never felt like I didn't belong. People are amazed that this bike is actually a scooter. I'm sure Honda is in the process of developing a replacement for this baby Gold Wing as this bike has gone unchanged for almost 9 years. They don't need to change much however. This is one awesome motorcycle/scooter.

I wanted a reliable, sporty, and comfortable ride. The ST delivers all this and more. It is refined, well-engineered, powerful, and smooth and has great handling especially in medium and longer radius turns. It is surprisingly fast and agile.
