Let me start by saying that I owned a Suzuki 750 and a Ducati 900ss. I had always ridden power bikes. This so sexy beast is my love. She is the best bike I have ever been on. It's like being a kid again, you can't get me off it. I push my boo hard. Banking corners at 90 on the jackie robinson pkwy all s turns and opening up on highways up to 153. that's great for NYC city ridin with heavy traffic. She handles and picks up great. Overall, if you're gonna get a new bike, get the 1000rr. You will be very satisfied. NOT FOR BEGINNERS.

My last bike was a 1996 CBR900RR. When I went looking for a new bike I gravitated toward the Honda's. I kept looking for an RC-51 and could not find one that hadn't been down. Then I came across this gem. I fell in love with it and went straight to the bank and paid for it. It has been nothing...

My last bike was a 1996 CBR900RR. When I went looking for a new bike I gravitated toward the Honda's. I kept looking for an RC-51 and could not find one that hadn't been down. Then I came across this gem. I fell in love with it and went straight to the bank and paid for it. It has been nothing but pure enjoyment. I just went on a 400 mile ride last Saturday and had a blast and was comfortable. The handling is sharp and the power is always there. I rode with a bunch of guys that had 600's and watched them constantly shifting, while I just let the RPM's build. This is a potent machine that is not at all good for beginners and realistically more than anyone needs on the street. But who cares, it gives me an ear to ear grin.

After 40 yrs +/- of standards, HD cruisers and police bikes (Suzukis, Kawasakis, HDs and BMWs)this is my first sport bike. What an awesome experience! Still learning how to keep excessive weight off my wrists at lower speeds but this bike is everything I expected and then some. Smooth, comfortable, torquey and extremely powerful. Intuitive handling, fantastic brakes, good mpg (37-40)and good looks. I have only begun to explore its overall capabilities but it's Godzilla in a tuxedo so far. A very enjoyable package- smooooth, well mannered and scary fast!

I just want everyone to know that I haven't even broken in this bad boy yet and I'm already going nuts. I came from the v-twin family, and all I have to say the lean angle, speed and the responsiveness of this beauty scares me. Most tend to go fast only straight, but when you can turn almost as...

I just want everyone to know that I haven't even broken in this bad boy yet and I'm already going nuts. I came from the v-twin family, and all I have to say the lean angle, speed and the responsiveness of this beauty scares me. Most tend to go fast only straight, but when you can turn almost as fast, have a forgiving bike at the same time it forces one to become a better rider. The electronic steering stabilizer, love it. Not to mention it saves one $600 on a Scott's steering dampener. Only 550 miles and my lines are at the edge of both tires. Wheelies... not a problem, crack that baby in second going about 32-40 mph and that's all she wrote. Yes all of the liter bikes are right up there, but for reliability, corning/handling and the fact of being comfortable on over 250 miles a day with a passenger, there is no comparison to any other liter bike in my opinion. Then again, I'm partial to the Honda family, but if this bike is too much for you, drop down to the 07 600rr. As for me, I ride everyday with this bike. It's a new challenge just being able to see myself pushing myself harder and harder through the turns. GO GET ONE!

Just bought this bike and Love it! I have ridden tons of bikes and this one handles the best so far. Love the stock Diablo's. Great mid range and upper end power. It kinda dogs off the line, even worse than the old 954 I used to own. I agree about the brakes squealing until they break in (about 150...

It kinda dogs off the line, even worse than the old 954 I used to own. I agree about the brakes squealing until they break in (about 150 miles for mine). It is a little hard on the rear after about a half an hour riding (just on mild drives). Time will tell but IT'S A HONDA!!

I recently traded in my 98 Honda VTR 1000 on a CBR 1000rr. There are no words to describe how different the two worlds are. I go to sleep each night with a smile on my face knowing it is sitting in the garage chomping at the bit to get out on the highway. This bike is amazing!!! I ride with a group that consist of GSXR 1000's, Hayabusa's, ZX-10's and the new ZX-14. The Honda far out preforms all the previously stated bikes. I would put my grand up against anything on the road today!!! Thank you HONDA!!!!

My first liter bike owned, so I can't compare it to the others of the big 4 for extensive comparison. Out of the crate it is outstanding. No need for upgrades, except for maybe heavier fork springs. Seat is surprisingly comfortable, but constant riding for an hour or more requires me to get off for a few and stretch out. Good ergos overall, and a nice touch is the hydraulic clutch for very smooth operation. No need for a slipper either. Fit and finish is excellent, I wouldn't expect anything less from Honda. Good appearance and body design. Tank cover is a little wide, but you get used to it. Trunk space under seat is minimal. It gets warm from the center up exhaust but doesn't get too hot from the cooling mesh vents on the sides. Expect to put a cell phone and wallet in there, and that's about it. The stock windshield is exceptional at deflecting compared to most OEM windshields. As far as reliability...it's a Honda. Performance wise, it's a beast. Having moved up from 600's, it's a totally different animal. Not for the inexperienced or fresh beginner - so don't even think about it. Power delivery is fairly smooth when it gets in it's range. Not on/off like some inline 4's. It's still noticable, but smoother than some. Gas mileage is decent, at about 135 miles per tank to almost empty. But honestly, who cares about gas mileage? Very smooth handling when the suspension is dialed in properly, or close to it. As mentioned before, the front springs could be heavier for the heavier than average rider. We're not all 150 lbs! 320mm front floating rotors with the 4 pot calipers stop predictably and smooth. Rear brake is just like all other sportbikes. Little bit of front pad squeak until fully broken in though. The only appearance change I would make is the horendous OEM turn signals. Not a big deal...most people change them out anyway, but they could at least do a redesign and make them more appealing so we wouldn't feel the need to replace them. Tail light is very appealing. Clear lens with multiple super bright red Led's. Very clean look. I would definately buy it all over again.

Turns are GREAT with they new HESD and once you stop fighting it in the turn and let it do it's job, leaning hard is NO problem. Highly impressed.
