I have a black 2005 Honda Rebel 250 and I love it! It's my first bike, and being a female it's not too manly looking or too much bike for me to handle, saves a TON on gas!!! I've gotten it up to 75mph on a straight away, but it's a bit underpowered and light for that kind of speed. Wind is a big problem, it'll blow you all over the road, but with practice you get used to it. I've had electrical problems with the on/off switch which had to be replaced, that sucked! I also use only premium gas (needs all the power it can get) and the spark plug went on it anyway, which needed replacement this also sucked! For a new bike, I was suprised and irritated over these issues and the expense to replace them, since the waranty had expired a month prior. However, the 2005 is a great bike. I'm glad I got the 2005 Rebel because Honda changed the Rebel fenders to plastic in 06, mine are the last model with the original steel fenders! I wouldn't trade my bike for nothing! Happy riding!

I have noticed that this bike will ride 2 people fairly well provided the passenger is a smaller person with a very small butt. The only draw back I have found is my knees do occasionaly hit the handelbars because I'm so long legged but it is a great starter bike and around town bike!!!

I'm not sure this bike is meant for the Interstates but I have had to 60mph. It is not even broken in yet. I'm told that is around 600 miles.

I must admit that I think I'm in 4th gear and I'm actually in 5th. It does sound a bit whinney but overall, it's beautiful. I'm taking my first big trip tomorrow to get it's first overhaul. It's going into the city and doing some major highway driving. I feel very confident that this bike can handle anything I throw at her. This bike fits me like a glove. I'm very short legged and it's perfect. I love the look of the bike. It does look like a little sportster. This is a great ride for the look and the price but mainly for the feel.

While most people will think of "graduating up" to a larger bike, I'll more than likely stick with the Rebel for a good while. It has plenty of get-up-and-go and the gas mileage can't be beat. It's a very forgiving bike, and a ton of fun. And for the price, it's a perfect first time ride for a biker.

I bought my 2006 Rebel new of the showroom floor and have really enjoyed the experience. It handles well, gets great gas mileage (about 80-90 mpg) and is quiet. For the beginning rider, there is no substitute. It's light weight (just over 300 lbs) and nimbleness makes for a pleasurable ride. Being a 250cc, it does have it's drawbacks. There is a lack of torque, and it not suitable for highway use mainly due to it's low weight and lack of top end speed (about 65 mph) Even at 65mph, the engine really whines. Also, if you are anything over 200lbs and taller than 5'10", it will seem underpowered and quite cramped. This is a no frills bike, but for the price, ($3099.00) you can't beat it. I would recommend the Rebel to anyone who is new to motorcycles or wants to save some cash getting to and from work.

I've put about 250 miles on my Aero, and it just gets better and better. Upgrade the seat ASAP, I prefer the Mustang wide tourer, no pain at all now, I could cruise all day. I do wish it had a 6th gear, but not really any of the mid size cruisers do. As I get more used to it, I'm amazed at how easy it is to handle. Even with the inch higher Mustang seat on it, I have a firm stance on the ground when I need it. I really like the low throaty sound of the stock pipes, call me different, but I don't need a bike to break peoples windows out of their homes when I drive by. Really tracks the road well, especially in curves. It just gets better every day. Buy one as soon as you can.
