2007 Honda VTX1300C

It's been 24 years since I last rode a bike. I just picked up my new 2006 VTX 1300c this afternoon. I have only put 75 miles on it, but they were AWESOME! I'll admit that after 24 years...I had a pretty good death grip on the bars for the first 10 miles or so, but the bike rides so well that it was...

I'll admit that after 24 years...I had a pretty good death grip on the bars for the first 10 miles or so, but the bike rides so well that it was easy to get comfortable pretty quickly. I would recommend this bike to anyone. Good power, smooth ride, nice sound, and great looks. What else do you want?

My VTX 1300 is my third Honda, but I haven't ridden in over 20 years. My first two bikes was a 1979 Honda CB750 and a 1978 Honda CB200. I had fun on both bikes, great rides. After a long absence from riding, I was seriously thinking of buying a Harley (just because some family members have...

After a long absence from riding, I was seriously thinking of buying a Harley (just because some family members have them). Well, I stopped in a Honda dealer and saw the VTX 1300C (2006). The VTX was slick looking, I like the color, the only thing left was to try it out, since this was the first Honda I rode with a V-Twin engine. I was totally sold the minute I got it out in the open highway. The bike is great to ride, it has some vibration, but what V-twin doesn't? I'm enjoying very much.

I've been thinking of upgrading from my Shadow Spirit 750, (which I loved) because I want to go on longer rides so I got a VTX1300C and this bike is awesome!!! I know some riders say the handlebars are too far out but for my size they're perfect. The seat is comfortable for me. The bike is...

I've been thinking of upgrading from my Shadow Spirit 750, (which I loved) because I want to go on longer rides so I got a VTX1300C and this bike is awesome!!! I know some riders say the handlebars are too far out but for my size they're perfect. The seat is comfortable for me. The bike is amazingly balanced for a bigger machine and more easy to handle than the Shadow. It's big enough to go on longer rides, but not so big that it's a hassle for smaller, tighter country roads. I've been on some longer rides and it's perfect for that. With the Honda dependability and longevity, this will probably be my last bike.

Having not owned a bike since the early 80's and I was anxious to get back on and ride. I come from a Harley & Triumph background and was hesitant to buy a Honda. One ride changed my mind fast. I now refer to my bike as a Harley that you can ride without carrying a tool box. What a great...

Being a new rider, I wondered if this would be too much bike. Not at all! It's a bike you can grow into. Plenty of power to spare. A great looking, great riding bike. It's a big difference from those 250cc bikes that I learned on in the MSF course. My only regret is that I waited 20 years to do...

It's a big difference from those 250cc bikes that I learned on in the MSF course. My only regret is that I waited 20 years to do this. I used this review page to make my decision to buy this bike so I hope that my review helps someone like it helped me.

I bought my VTX 1300C brand new on 3/18/06 and put 13K miles on it in 9 months. I added Vance and Hines Cruzer II pipes and rejetted the carb, custom leather saddle bags, tool bag and highway pegs. I've driven the bike through rains and storms and even 30 mph winds. I have no problems with the bike on the highways. Can't even tell when Semis pass by. I weigh 280 without the riding gear and saddle bags packed and the bike has no problem accellerating or cornering at high speeds. It has plenty of pick up in the higher gears, even 2 up. The custom fenders and pull back handlebars are great and the mag wheels are excellent. If you want to buy a name and be a weekend warrior (1000 miles a year), then buy a Harley. IF you want to ride and won't settle for less than quality and a great ride.....then buy a VTX. The VTX is an excellent motorcycle.

Great bike for the money. Got tired of hearing but it's a HD. Too much money for the HD. VTX turns heads and gives the best ride for the money. Only draw back it is lacks a fuel gauge and tac. Being 61 the old back is not good but I can ride for several hours on this one and still stand up. Good...
