I think I have really saved the best bike for my last one. I will be 66 soon and this is my 7th bike. It had been over 20 years since I rode a bike when I bought my 2007 VTX1300R, like new with 1600 miles on it. It was as if I had ridden it all my life. Actually took about one hour and I was...

I think I have really saved the best bike for my last one. I will be 66 soon and this is my 7th bike. It had been over 20 years since I rode a bike when I bought my 2007 VTX1300R, like new with 1600 miles on it. It was as if I had ridden it all my life. Actually took about one hour and I was back in the groove. I have owned a Harley Electraglide, Gold Wing, several Kawasaki bikes in the 1000cc range and while the VTX has fewer horses than some, the VTX is more fun to ride than any of them. It looks, sounds (Cobra pipes) and rides like a motorcycle should. The balance is about perfect and seating position is really comfortable. You can bet I was concerned about my age and how I would be able to handle the bike after 20 years of not riding. No Problem, bike is heavy and while powerful does not try to jump out from under you like those little 1000 Kawasakies used to. If you think this bike might be too much for you don't worry. This senior citizen handles it with ease and you will too.

This is my 5th bike. I get more comments on this bike than any I've owned. It really is a good looking bike. I haven't had any of the noise problems others have mentioned. For my height, it would be nice if the seat was back just a bit. I'm looking for an after market seat for it. Had it now...

This bike has plenty of power to run with the bigger boys, Great around town, canyons and freeways. It does have the HD thud going from first to secound gear (normal). It is also very cold blooded! Once it warms up, it's a mid sized power house. Handles like a smaller bike and looks Great. I get...

I have a 2006 VTX 1300R this bike is great in the city, and has the weight and speed for the highway. Turn the key and the bike purrs like a cat everytime. This bike holds its own against any other crusier out there. I have rode enjoyable miles, and have many many more miles to go. Make sure you...

Be safe and enjoy the ride.

I purchased this bike over a year ago and have fallen in love with this bike from the first moment I rode down the interstate. It is very smooth, comfortable and responsive. And the 1300cc motor is very stout, especially hauling a big boy like myself. I highly recommend this bike to any rider, new or experienced.

I came to riding later in life (45). My first bike was a moped. No kidding. Two years later in 2007 after completing the MFS course I bought my VTX. I love it. It has great power and balance. It is very reliable and quiet for a big V-twin. It looks great and it fits me great. I like the floorboards and the heel-toe shifter. If you drive more than 75 miles per trip you may want to consider an aftermarket seat. In two years I have 10,000 problem-free miles and look forward to riding my VTX for many years to come.

I have bought 4 bikes for myself within 4 years before I was able to finally get my 1300. This is what I consider my dream bike. I love it! I can maneuver it like there's no tomorrow. I started in 2001 with a 250cc, then went to a 600cc, 750cc, 1100cc and finally to my VTX1300R. I love the metallic...
