I have found 2 minor draw backs that Honda needs to improve. 1 is the backlash in the drive shaft at low speeds. 2 is the valve chatter after a long ride. I have no problem overlooking both of these issues when I ride because the bike is truly awesome to ride.

I originally bought this bike to offset the amount of miles I put on my car and of course to get out on the weekends and ride a little. From the day I purchased it to now, I've driven my car once. The ride is so smooth and enjoyable and the compliments from complete strangers while sitting at lights are a reassuring sign that I picked the right bike. Thumbs up to Honda!!!! Braking, clutching, manuverability and acceleration just can't be matched. I test drove many bikes prior to my decision and by far, the honda has beat them all.

I love this bike. Power is there at any point in the powerband. Bike pulls strong from 80-100 for cruising. I've had no trouble since I bought my X a little more than a year ago. Closest thing to a problem was a battery cable vibrating loose. A lockwasher fixed that. The bike is rock solid. Dependable, great looking, strong performance. It handles as well as you could expect a cruiser to handle. I've ridden up to 10 hours at a time with no discomfort. What else can I say? I love it!

I love the big wide saddle and large floorboards. The throttle is responsive and braking is great. I considered the 1800, Kaw's Nomad and Yamaha's Silverado. I made the right choice. "Man, what is that thang. It's a perty one", is what the other riders are saying. It even turns the heads of HD riders. Yup, its a headturner.

It's amazing-the power, control, tracking, and it has really turned the group of Harley riders that I ride with. They are impressed with the way I can keep up with them now with no struggle. And smooth is the word. Absolutely the best bang for the buck bar none. I am an older first-time bike owner (49 yrs young). I wish I had done this years ago!!!!!

Just purchase an 04 VTX 1300S, the first night out with my wife on the back, we rode over 150 miles and reached speeds of up to 100 mph. Being, a speed freak and bike builder, I wanted to see the responsive behavior of the bike. Let me say that, I am impressed. No problems with handling and curves, lean angle seems adequate and comfort beats all my other bikes. I enjoy all bikes no matter what make, and own several Harleys and Hondas. The only complaint as of date is the throttle seems sticky, not smooth and a little tight. Honda should make a throttle adjustment, for better feel and response. This weekend we are planning a six hundred mile run over two days. Looking forward to an enjoyable ride. One other thing, not a problem, the bike is way to quit; I like to hear the engine, especially since there is no tachometer to read. By next month I'll be changing the exhaust and jetting the carb, along with a high flow air system. Good Luck with your VTX1300!
