Ok, so I broke in the super 8, and so far absolutely NO problems. I took it my dealer for the first service inspection. WARNING: The warranty doesn't cover the first mandatory service inspection, they wanted $210 for it. So save up if you want that warranty. I let mine drop, but it's a good thing, because now I can install high performance parts!! I installed DR. Pulley 10g rollers in my scoot and now it really sounds and responds like a crotch rocket. 0-60 in 4.8 seconds, no joke, and the engine now revs like at 10,000 rpm. I can't wait to install the new Yoshimura pipe they now offer for it!

I bought this scooter in August 2004. I had the Rev Limiter disconnected to give a little more mph out of her. She will hit an honest 45mph at the tachometer redline. The suspension is great and the brakes are great. I like the front and rear disk brake feature. I've had two other scooters with a rear drum brake and it just doesn't perform compared to the front and rear disc brakes on the Super 9. The only issue I have found is that the tachometer sometimes does not work. Every now and then I'll start the scoot up and the tach is not working. I'll shut her off and fire her back up and the tach works. It's really hit or miss with the tach.

I have the 2005 Super 9, it is running and handling like a dream, very powerful for it's engine size. The break in period is annoying though, it's hard have to stay under 25 mph. The issue I have is that a tall rider can't fit a passenger on the... read more
