Kymco Xciting 250 Scooter reviews

I'm loving my 2009 Kymco Grandvista250, It's very comfortable and the power is there when I need it. I get so many compliments when I ride it, the only thing is I wish it had a bigger gas tank. Regardless I think its still good on gas, and the reliability is good for a month of owning it. Oil changes are super easy, still trying to figure out what coolant to put. Show less

I so far have owned two of the scooters and i have to say that these things even with high mialage are hilariously reliable the first one i had was a beater that had 17,000 km on the clock that i got from a scooter dealers boneyard and it ran on a year old plus gas and got me home and after and oil and gear oil change it stayed hillariously reliable it never broke never overheatd and never left me stranded i sold it to a buddy who needed it badly and it ended up getting stolen from him as of now i have a second 2006. That i picked up for cheap and its also hillariously reliable like starting in the dead of wi ter with three feet of snow on it and not started for two months only to fire right up and hold an idle reliable kf you can find one grab it and be amazed that it will go 75 with you and a passenger on it it goes about 83 max with just me long story short this is the only non Japanese manufacture that i would trust for a scooter well build and just a great punchy scooter Show less

I have 625 miles now. mpg. high is 53, and 44 low - hope for better. The power seems good one or two up. I did the 600-mile maintance myself - easy to do. I'm getting used to the key-ignition - it takes a little doing. It does a lot of different things if you push in or not, or turn left or right. I like it so far, now I need to do a long trip. After having the Xciting 250 for 1 1/2 years now, I have put over 6,000 miles on it. My longest trip has been from Ft Lauderdale area to Cape Coral (FT Meyers on the Gulf Coast), appx 150 miles one way. I have figured out that the speedometer is fast about 5mph. My fuel consumption is 67 mpg. I can go all the way on one tank of fuel and then some. I have not had to take the bike to the shop for anything but regular maintenance. I finally found the top box (GIVI 47E), but cannot find the orange cover for it. Givi does not make it anymore. I have absolutly nothing negative to say about this scooter. Show less

This is my second Scooter after a disastrous 250cc Tank Sports. I have it for 5 months now and have 3700 miles on it. I use that for my commute to work and I love it. It looks good and is very reliable. So far no issues whatsoever. I specially like its generous siting space and under seat compartment. I also like and use quite often its parking break that first I thought I would never use that. Making the story short, there is nothing you can get better for money. don't think twice if you are shopping. Show less

My Grand Vista is a great little machine. No mechanical problems to speak of. I commute 21 miles on hilly 2-lane highway and it does great. Will cruise 60MPH all day. It can haul my fat butt up the hills no problem and get great gas mileage doing it. So far the only thing I wish it had was a little bigger gas tank. I recommend the Grand Vista. Show less

This is my 11th 2 wheeler in about 6 years. Went through flat-6, v-4, twin-2, and 2 150cc scooters. Well, this People 250 is the keeper. Has enough power to get around. Average 67MPG also very impressive. Still have 2 other bikes in the garage, but took the 250 most of the time. Thank you Kymco. Show less

I've owned my s250 for 14mos/18,000mi. 60-70mpg. Almost trouble free (speedo gear broke) covered under warranty. Rode scooter from Presctt AZ to Austin TX in 3 days. 410 day1, 420 day2, 330 day3, Total trip 1260mi This is my 3rd Kymco. Total mi over 52,000mi. Show less

No complaints, watch the throttle and get 45mpg in town. The back tire was gone at 4500 miles. Had a main fuse blow, changed it and doing fine. I would buy another one, but first I got to wear this one out. Good product. Great ride. Show less

Having bought my Kymco people S 250 2 and 1/2 months ago I've put over 1200 miles even with the bad scooter weather we have had. I plan to put many more miles on it this summer. I find it very easy to ride not having rode a scooter for many years. I found the 16 inch wheels much better handling then the 10 inch wheels I have had in the past. All in all I think this is a great scooter and I look forward to many year of riding. Show less
