I waited a bit before posting a review (how can someone really review a bike they've only had for a day?). So now that I've put 750 miles on my C50 and had it through its first service, I feel confident saying that I'm very happy with my choice. It feels right sitting on it. I like the low-maintenance shaft drive/fuel injection/water cooling. The floorbards were something new for me, but I love them. It's my first bike, and I find it very easy to drive and handle. The 800cc's are plenty to get up the hills and pass on the freeways. I'm sure someday I'll move up to a bigger bike, but I'll probably ride this one into the ground first.

Two weeks ago I put 2000 miles on it in a week going to ND for a Vietnam battalion reunion. I have put almost 8000 carefree miles on the bike. Doesn't use a drop of oil. I can get on it ready for any distance on a trip and know it will do well. Can go 80 mph all day. I have complete confidence in the C50. It's a wonderful bike. I almost got an 1100 Sabre. This bike was less expensive and I liked the fuel injection. The bike looks so big and runs so well, most people are surprised to find out it's an 805.

A gracious co-worker rode the bike from the dealer to my house (25 miles). We drove down I-40 at speeds of 60-75 mph, no problems, according to him. At last, we arrived at my house. I was very timid to ride the bike; after all it is a pretty big bike for a beginner. Needless to say, after my first ten minutes, I dropped the bike! I became nervous and turned the throttle instead of grabbing the break. The bike landed on my left leg and broke the signal light and scratched the front fender. I was heartbroken! I had just paid for this bike! I needed help getting the bike off of me, so dead lifting this bike is out of the question. I then began thinking about the "Nay Sayers, who told me to get a used bike. After fifteen minutes, I jumped back on the bike, and I have not stopped riding. The bike practically rides itself. To those who are beginners and have no experience, this is a great bike to learn on. Also, I did read some reviews concerning the plastic on the bike. Thank God, the signal light is made of plastic, crazy glue still comes in handy! I am 28 years old, and I wanted a crotch rocket, but this bike truly represents.

I started riding not too long ago, about a year ago to be exact. The first bike I owned was a 1982 Honda Nighthawk 650cc and I loved every minute I rode it. But not long after I bought it I realized that it was no longer enough for me, the tank was too small and got poor gas mileage, and I expected more speed and torque than it was willing to produce. I went into the dealership near my house in Salt Lake City every saturday for about six months. Drooling as I stared in amazement at the beauty that the Boulevard proclaimed; although I never actually thought I would buy one, one saturday I was caught off guard. While gazing into the deep blue paint, a salesman put his hand on my shoulder and asked if I would like to sit on it. I was astonished, and so very hesitant. Could I actually sit on this bike and NOT drive away with it under me? Probably not. But it got the best of me. I picked it up and was instantly in love. It was a lot bigger and about twice as heavy as my old one but it felt so amazingly comfortable. After a long three hours I was out the door with my brand new bike. Now I live about two hours from Salt Lake City; no better way to get a feel for the machine than a nice ride home through the scenic back country of eastern Utah. As I drove away from the dealership and hopped on the highway I was absolutely stunned! I shifted into 4th gear and opened the throttle just a bit, and like all the other reviews I have read it tried getting away from me! I grinned a full grin, one of those grins from ear to ear that you just can[t wipe off your face. I looked back to my girlfriend in the car right behind me as I watched her laugh. I felt like a kid at Christmas all over again. It is my dream bike and will do the same to you as it has done to me.

I sold my 2000 Vulcan 800 as soon as I saw this bike in a magazine. I then went to test drive the C50 to see if the reviews I read were correct. This is the smoothest bike I have ever written and I left the dealer with it 8 days ago. What I was most interested in was the shaft drive because in my 14 years of riding I had never been on one. But when I test drove this Cadillac on two wheels I fell in love with every aspect of it. The transmission is very smooth and although everyone complains about the seat I think it very comfy. I have always had sportbikes until my Vulcan last year. But now that I'm 31 I want something comfortable and easy to ride. This C50 has it all, and I catch lots of people staring at it as I'm riding. I recommend that if anyone is looking to buy a cruiser of this size, please do yourself the favor and test drive this bike first.

I just picked up my 2006 C50 Thursday and can't get off the bike I keep looking in the garage at night to see if it is still OK. For a big guy the bike fits very well and has plenty of power. The forward controls and floorboards are what the doctor ordered for long rides. Wan't to add a windshield to cut the airflow down at speeds. The shifting is smooth and effortless. GREAT BIKE!!!!! Insurance rates on this bike were great as well.

I think just about everyone loves this thing except for the seat after about an hour. It is smooth, once I dropped the adjustment down to two. There is some vibration at speed, but it is a two cylinder (they will never be as smooth as the glides 6). I have about 600 miles on mine and have been up... read more

There is some vibration at speed, but it is a two cylinder (they will never be as smooth as the glides 6). I have about 600 miles on mine and have been up to 85 with no problems. The only thing I'm disappointed in is my dealer but something was bound to go wrong because everything has been so perfect with this bike.
