I have had this bike for about 4-5 months and it's great. It will do 105km around 62 miles per hour. It is a tad bit heavy but not to bad. The electric start is sweet. I have had a few problems with the carburetor but that's the previous owners fault so, the bike is pretty...

I wasn't sure about buying the bike but my mind was made-up when the dealer said Suzuki was offering the bike for $89 per mo.. The bike is fast and has a lot of torque. It was able to reach 80 mph at my weight on the open road. I was happy with the speed and it handles great because it is narrow...

It was able to reach 80 mph at my weight on the open road. I was happy with the speed and it handles great because it is narrow and light. My friends describe it as a dirt-bike with turn signals and they are correct.

First thing to do with this bike is taller handlebars or risers. Stiffen up the back spring and change the front fork oil to 10w. Change the front sprocket to a 15t if you do a bit more street work. Re-route the breather hoses to under the fuel tank or in the air box with a foam filter on them for...

Re-route the breather hoses to under the fuel tank or in the air box with a foam filter on them for creek crossings. Once you've done these few things it's a whole new bike with great potential. Rivals many more expensive and powerful bikes.

Retired in BHC Arizona I needed a street legal dirt bike to take me two blocks to the open desert for fun and exploration not work! After a lot of research the DRZ400 seemed the best over all value. Being a dual sport I never exspected this bike to perform so well. Performance was made perfect with a set of DOT nobbie tires, and adjustment of the front and rear suspension. The price $5800 out the door was incredable.

It sure is a lot more fun. It is light and quick. I am getting 55 mpg back and forth to work. It has a 5th gear that is good for 50+mph. Cruises comfortably 60-70 mph. Not a sport tourer but a great commuter. Needs a seat if you plan to spend more than 20-30 minutes at a time sitting on it. Corbin makes a nice looking one. There are also some custom seats available.

This bike is a blast in the tight stuff and it's fun to embarrass the sportbike squids. After riding the dirt version I was a little unhappy with the performance. It's a bit busy at 70 and geared tall so it doesn't wheelie as easily as I like. However I plan to correct this with a full Yoshimira...

This bike is a blast in the tight stuff and it's fun to embarrass the sportbike squids. After riding the dirt version I was a little unhappy with the performance. It's a bit busy at 70 and geared tall so it doesn't wheelie as easily as I like. However I plan to correct this with a full Yoshimira exhaust/Dynojet jet kit/Notoil airfilter. I will post a new review when this is done. I considered the Husky 610SM but after having a Triumph Speed Triple and having to go at least 50 miles to the nearest dealer I like having a bike I can go to a dealer close by no matter where I live. I've been getting 57 miles per gallon and it's nice to have the option to go off road. However I will be putting different tires on first. (Pirelli MT60's). Oh yeah, insurance is 200 per year for full coverage!

Am getting ready to do some trail riding, but for the time being awesome houligan bike. Doesn't wheelie as easy as my old XT600, but just alot of fun. Handle bar vibration is a bit much on longer rides, but I filled them with lead shot and it helped a lot. Only major downfall is that the seat is a torture device. Have to figure out a seat fix for longer street rides when you are down on it for more than a half hour.

Plenty of torque and very flickable for a 270lb bike..Have been to the local motocross track twice for about 30 miles total..it will take a while to grow into the power and handling for a new dirtbike rider..One good thing is if you get bored with the dirt it makes a great motard from reading some of the message boards.
