I took my motorcycle safety/riding course in March (the first time I had ever been on a bike other than riding double up with my husband) and got my Volusia on April 8. I can't say enough good things about this bike. It is easy to handle, rides great and is a super bike for a beginner. My biggest fear was not being able to touch flat-footed being as "vertically challenged" as I am but I can do so with no trouble at all. My husband rides a Victory but has been known to "borrow" mine from time to time.

This is one great bike. It has enough power as not to want more. It is very reliable. The look has gotten the attention of many people. Every time I go out I get at least one compliment on the bike. Sometime they confuse it with an H-D, but I tell them "it is better and a few K's less". I trust...

I have had my 1500 for over two years. I have never had a problem with the bike. It looks great and with the Vance & Hines pipes the sound is awesome. I recently put some highway bars on the bike for added comfort. You keep on riding when the Harley's are broken...

I've put on 27,000 hard miles on the 2003 Volusia VL800, crossing the Great West and riding I-40 to the Eastern End of the road. My beautiful machine is beginning to show the stress of age and abuse. Two of the three bolts on the muffler bracket fell off and wore the lower muffler out of a snug...

I've put on 27,000 hard miles on the 2003 Volusia VL800, crossing the Great West and riding I-40 to the Eastern End of the road. My beautiful machine is beginning to show the stress of age and abuse. Two of the three bolts on the muffler bracket fell off and wore the lower muffler out of a snug fit. The bolts hide behind panels on the right side of the bike. The loss of low-end torque from the exhaust leak was apparent. I had to weld the muffler to the T-exchange. Other than that the Volusia is still running hard and strong two up (see photo). I commute to work (seasonally) 70 miles round trip. It is an adventure on adverse days, a genuine pleasure on those other days of warmth and windless occasion. I can understand why Suzuki based the Boulevard C-series cruisers on the Volusia. Vuelve.

I picked up a lightly used Volusia on Wednesday (for what I think was a great price) and have put 300 miles on it from driving it home and on two other rides. I had the absolute best ride ever (this is my 4th bike) yesterday. A hilly winding country roads in perfect weather. The Volusia has...

I had the absolute best ride ever (this is my 4th bike) yesterday. A hilly winding country roads in perfect weather. The Volusia has ample power and comfort, and of course, it looks a lot more expensive than it is. I love the sound and the great balance between handling and cruising comfort. This one's a keeper.

I fell in love with my new bike. I didn't think that moving from a 750cc to an 805cc would be that big of a difference but I was fooled. I like the way the bike handles in the curves and the speed I can't get over. I can keep up with all my friends that ride their 1100 Yamahas. I have just about bought everything that is possible for the Volusias and everyone really likes to look at my bike. I am glad that I bought my Volusia.

They have named the UK 2005 version C800 Intruder with some nice additions, automatic choke, fuel injection & onboard computer chip that carries out a system check. Also footboards & toe/heal gear change. I have had my machine just over a week and can say this is one awesome machine, even in this crappy English weather it hugs the road and runs like a dream, also fits my size & frame like a glove. I have had various bikes & scooters over the years and can honestly say this beats the lot.

Well it's almost been 2 years and she still turns heads. I have not rode as much as I'd like to. I have rode with several friends and did bike swaps half way through the ride. I have ridden similar bikes from the other manufacturers to include Hondas VLX and VT 1100 Saber, Kawi Vulcan 800 and the V-Star 650. All of these bikes are alright for the right person but were not as comfortable as the Ole' Volusia. But to get similar comfort I need to jump to the VTX 1300/1800 or the Road Star 1700. What a pay jump for similar comfort. So I'm looking to just stick with a few more upgrades to the Volusia like Bags, pipes (HK's) and maybe a gel seat for the posterior region. Still the best bang for the buck.

I went to the bike show in Calgary in January 2004 and I tried every single motocycle I could possibly sit on... Guess what? The Volusia was by far the most comfortable, easy to pick-up bike I have tried. I am a small woman and I found everything I needed with this one. So, I bought the Volusia SE loaded with the windshield and the saddlebags. A month later, we took a 4,000km trip from Calgary to Victoria, the Sunshine Coast, Fraser Valley and taking the long way home through the Kootenays. Fabulous ride for a first trip.
