2004 Suzuki SV650

I just bought my 2005 sv650. I couldn't be happier. I was told that I was too big for this bike and that it didn't have enough power for my size - boy were they wrong. I know I don't have it broke in yet so I haven't really been able to get on the throttle too much but the little that I have got...

I just bought my 2005 sv650. I couldn't be happier. I was told that I was too big for this bike and that it didn't have enough power for my size - boy were they wrong. I know I don't have it broke in yet so I haven't really been able to get on the throttle too much but the little that I have got on it there was a smile from ear to ear. I have ridden my dad's VTX 1800 and my friends 03 CBR F4 and there is no way I would take either over this bike. I would recommend this bike to anyone - Best buy I ever made.

Suzuki really did a great job with the SV. Feels like a big dirt bike. Super neutral handling, nice motor, decent brakes (probably will upgrade to ss lines and aftermarket pads), but bone stock it is suprisingly capable!! Do yourself a favor and ride an SV, you will be impressed. It does just...

Super neutral handling, nice motor, decent brakes (probably will upgrade to ss lines and aftermarket pads), but bone stock it is suprisingly capable!! Do yourself a favor and ride an SV, you will be impressed. It does just about everything very very well (from commuting to tooling around town to ripping down a twisty road).

She handles great, very predictable power delivery and is all around a very nice bike.
Negatives:
- Flashing low fuel light. At night you can't get to a gas pump fast enough to make it stop.
- Beware of wet weather riding. You will want to fill the front spark plug boot up with... read more

Negatives:
- Flashing low fuel light. At night you can't get to a gas pump fast enough to make it stop.
- Beware of wet weather riding. You will want to fill the front spark plug boot up with dielectric grease and re-install. If you don't, you will have a serious mis-fire problem on the front cylinder.

I have only been riding for 1 1/2 years, currently riding a 1986 R65. My 17 year old son has a SV650 that he is selling because he just purchased a 2002 R1100S. He has done several things to the SV including the addition of a sargent seat, scorpion exhaust, and different sprocket. I rode it about...

He has done several things to the SV including the addition of a sargent seat, scorpion exhaust, and different sprocket. I rode it about 350 miles a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with that little bike. 90% of the ride was twisties and this bike loves those roads. I sure do hate to see this bike sell now. Trying to talk him out of it. To me it is an all around great bike. My recomendation is that everyone have one in the garage. For the money, this bike can't be beat. All around great handling and running bike.

This is my second bike. It replaced my '01 Bandit 600 with 35k miles. The engine is viby v-twin compared to smooth I-4. But certainly not annoying vibration. It has great torque in the low end and mid range, which makes city riding very enjoyable. The stock seat must go because after 20 miles of...

It has great torque in the low end and mid range, which makes city riding very enjoyable. The stock seat must go because after 20 miles of riding your bottom will start to feel sore. The handlebar does vibrate, so after about 30 minutes of riding on freeway, my right hand fingers start to feel a bit numb, but it's much better than my previous Bandit. Yes, I will recommend this bike. It is a great bike with great history and great reviews.

The SV650 is light, fast and agile. It accelerates much more quickly than I could ever imagine and cruises easily at 60 mph in 2nd gear. This bike has a one finger braking system and will stop on a dime. I thought about buying a Ducati 620 Monster, but the SV650 is a better value by far. It's less costly to service and definitely can challenge the Ducati in performance. The new SV650's are a little taller than the orignals, but at a 30' inseam, the 2000-2003 SV650's are a great fit. Regardless of whether you buy new or used, or whether you are a novice or experienced rider, you will love this bike!

I got my SV650S 3 weeks ago. The first week was hard on the wrists and back, but I quickly overcame that. I just passed 1000 km so now I can truly play with her. The insurance is reasonsible and I get a lot of heads turning as I'm tearing down the street. I feel very happy with my...

Everytime I hop on this motorcycle, I know I made the right choice to buy it last April. What we want is low end torque and horsepower in any traffic. The SV650 has it. We want a lower weight and 90 degree (best angle) V twin (fast) revving engine. The SV650. We want low insurance rates, and a...

We want a lower weight and 90 degree (best angle) V twin (fast) revving engine. The SV650. We want low insurance rates, and a motorcycle that can be a tourer with a water cooled and oil cooled engine. This motorcycle hits the sweet spot all around. The clutch does not grab and the fuel injection is electric smooth.

I would recommend this bike to a beginner only if they are going to take the time to learn how to ride properly. If you don't respect the bike, it will tell on you.
