This little sports rocket is a gem. A sports bike with the fairing off rather than a budget 600 like the Bandit. The Triumph has four coats of paint and is built to go through a British winter. It handles like a dream. It has an exhaust note, which turns heads. I spent the first thousand miles running it in with a grin on my face as everyone pavement side turned to see it, youngsters gaped, older men reminisced and everyone admired. If you want some class then buy this with no worries and put the single seat conversion on it. Snatchy in town this baby is made for the open road, a posing vehicle guaranteed to draw admiring glances. Expensive for its size yes, but you get what you pay for and what you get is top class suspension, chassis and braking. Oh and those twin headlights and that exhaust note. I've spent twelve years on fast Japanese bikes. My present bike is a Triumph. So too is my next one.

I have done 750 miles so still running in to 7000rpm. Loads of character & midrange makes town work fun. Handling is superb as are the brakes so twisties are better still. That nosecone thingy really works making cruising on motorways at high speed easy & deflecting the chill blast of winter from body & hands. This is no way as boring as a 4-stroke midrange 4 cylinder. Extras include a hugger, alarm, belly pan (no side cowls please), tank protector (small rubber Triumph), crash bobbins and a radiator guard. Loads of admiring from bikers, non-bikers and me! Buy one & have a hoot on every trip in any weather!!

The Speed Four is one of the most fun bikes I've ridden. It looks fantastic and stands out in a crowd. The handling is incredible, you really feel like you're part of the bike. The handling is so good that the bike is very forgiving. The brakes are also top-notch. The bike has lots of power from 7k rpms on. The bike does great wheelies and burnouts. Insurance is cheap compared to other full-fairing bikes. The S4 is very reliable and comes with a 2 year unlimited mileage warranty should anything happen. I can't say enough about it. I bought mine as a demo, saved a lot of money and couldn't be happier with my purchase. I also want to add for those people who might be considering the SV650 and the Honda 599 that this bike is the bike I'd go with. I use to own an SV650. The S4 out performs that bike in nearly every category...in my opinion.

I got an ex-Triumph test bike, one of the first,so I've hammered it from day one. I have owned my 2001 S3 now for two years and have just started road racing it on a mountain circuit. I have owned many bikes in my life, but this one is truely a dominator. This bike will carve the turns with a knee down (or not) like a dream. The torque out of the twisties is responsive and powerful. I am running a carbon fiber high mount pipe, belly pan, bar end mirrors, fly-screen with wind-shield/guard and frame sliders as the only aftermarkets. The aftermarket low profile windshield cuts most of the windblast down at speed. Bar end mirrors help, but I have not found any truely good mirrors for this bike which gives an easy view of the sides and rear areas without comprimising the bikes "looks". Unless you can hide behind a thin tree, throw the stock mirrors away. Other than that, the bike is race or road ready out of the box and if you haven't ridden a Triple, you're missing out on a well kept secret.

I put Powermax underseat exhaust to show off that big meat of a back tire. Got rid of the micky mouse mirrors for some Rhizoma ones. Can't see out of them but who cares what's behind you on the Triple!?!?!
