Awesome classic that has kickstart only, effortless and reliable starting every time. Cruises at 80 mph and top speed 100-110 with a quarter mile time 14.0. With a 14 second ET these defeated many a larger capacity bike, they are considered rare today. Although it vibrates a bit, its Fun to ride and has power to spare especially being a two stroke on a street bike, this thing gets up and goes! The V-Star is a reliable cruiser that has remained popular for decades thanks to its rideability and styling. Powered by a 1063cc V-twin engine, it puts 62 horsepower and 63 foot-pounds of torque through a five-speed transmission. It has a 27.2-inch seat height and a dry weight of 571 pounds. Reconstructed title. Belonged to my father before he passed away. My father was the second owner. He was pretty meticulous with how he kept his vehicles. New battery. Found a 2005 v star 1100 and pick it up for $1200. The couple didn't ride any more and were happy to see it go. Ended up selling it for $2900 just a couple weeks later. It was a great bike, but I didn't really think it was for me. Just a year later, since I had $$, I started looking for another bike. Found my 07 v star 1300 sitting on a street corner that had been there for awhile ( about 8 months). Once I was able to find the owner and test ride it ,found out it had a dead cylinder. Anyway, after agreeing with the owner that I would purchase the bike if I could take it to a shop and get it running, he allowed me to take it and 7 days and $107 later, the bike was mine. It is a perfect fit for me. I even tried to sell it but it's mine. So I ended up buying a trailer for it to be able to do some traveling with it. Show less

I bought my vstar almost a year ago. It's my first bike. I love it. It's easy to handle, very comfortable to ride. The look is very sharp. All my friends says it looks like a harley. I love the way it sits low. Everything about it is great. I have no complaints about my bike whatsoever. I love the way it rides, very smooth. It's just a sharp looking bike. I tell ya, for a beginner It's awesome. I've driven it everywhere. Really cheap on gas. Show less

These are excellent bikes, I have had no issues with mine at all, starts every time and is extremely comfortable going down the road. I would definitely recommend one to anybody looking for a bike. All around good quality and style. Only recommendation I have is to have the ecu flashed to get rid of fuel cut on deceleration. Show less

Bought it with 300 miles on it at the end of 2010 and have 80k on it now. Been a great bike. Dependable with normal maintenance. Definitely recommend buying one. Only complaint is stock passenger seat isn't comfortable. Show less

I just got into riding and spoiled myself with a 2006 Yamaha Vstar 1100 Classic for my first bike. This motorcycle makes me very happy when I am out and about with her as I literally look for any reason to take her out for a spin. I went from riding a 250 sport bike in my safety course and straight to this. The transition was rather easy as this bike handles like a dream at low and high speeds and stops on a dime if need be. There is plenty of power for my needs but it is also very manageable. The only thing I personally would change on this bike is an oil relocation kit install so you don’t have to remove the front pipes to do an oil change which saves a lot of time. And I will probably eventually install an upgraded seat as the factory seat isn’t the most comfortable for longer rides. I had this bike recommended to me by family members who have been riding for many years and I am glad I took their advice a great way to get into riding without breaking the bank. I bought the bike in October 2012 with 13000 miles on it only put about 150 miles on it. Then in spring of 2013 until 2020 I put 17000 miles on it. I have joyed all the miles I put on the bike. But this past year I learned that the V Star 1100 as a starter clutch issues with it. My bike was starting up hard and when I did some investigating I found out this was a issue with the V star 1100. I need to replace it this spring it will cost me about 450$ just for the parts and 3 hours of labor at 78 dollars an hour. That's the only issue I have Yamaha should have done a recall on them. The bike is extremely comfortable for me I'm 5 8 weigh 160 lb I'm 62 years old I will keep the bike until I can't physically ride it anymore. Then buy a Cam Am Spider. Show less
