I just got off a TTR 230 when I bought this bike today and all I can say is, it's awesome. It puts a big smile on my face to know that I can whoop any of my friends on the track or just riding around in the field. It is a little hard to start but once it's running, you have a beast! It's a little loud when you're getting on it but that's cause I got strict neighbors. I pulled a wheelie so far through 4 gears. It's scary fast; just blip the throttle in first gear on the street and you're up in the air. I love this bike and plan on keeping it for a long time. Show less

I just got a 98 YZ400 and it has tons of power!!! Anytime you want some power just hit the gas. It is ten times better than any other 2-stroke. It will smoke any 250 2-stroke and they are vary reliable and way less maintenance that a 2-stroke. So if you're looking for a bike then I would look into this one because it's the best out there!!! This bike is so sweet I'm 15 and am 5'7 this bike is just pure bliss on wheels. With a roll of the throttle you're up in the air but be careful because I've come mighty close to going flat on my back. This bike is so much better than any 2 stroke because it doesn't make you work so hard for speed and acceleration. Some might worry about the weight of this bike or the height but really if I can ride it then there should be any problem for someone my height or above. I only weigh 140 but I can still muscle the bike around just fine. The YZ puts out 45 hp at up to 12,000 rpms at a top speed of around 130 mph!!! Some people might complain about how they can't start it's really simple after you learn the routine. If anyone can get a good deal on this bike DO NOT hesitate to buy it, this bike rox! Show less

This bike is insane. I used ot ride a KX 250 and I thought that was fast, I was wrong, dead wrong. This bike leaves everyone in the dust with rocks and dirt covering them. Buy this bike you won't regret it! Show less

Awesome bike with a lot of power and torque for almost anything you want off-road, MX, SX, Trail riding, anything you want ! Very solid and rigid, not so nervous at high speeds ! This bike requires a lot of maintainance but it's only preventive, this thumper can last so many years with consecutive maintainance. A very competitive rival to any 250 2-stroke bike out of the box ! Lots of mods available in the market, lots of exhausts, chains, graphics, etc. A Bat out of hell bike. YAMAHA is still ruling with this kind of bikes ! Show less
