2009 Victory Touring Bike reviews

Spent a lot of time looking for the perfect touring bike. I tested the HD, Goldwings, not until I tested the Victory Vision that my search ended. I absolutely love the unique styling of the bike. The selling point for me was it's handling. It was far more nimble than anticipated. The floorboards are so well placed there's super comfortable ride, no need for footpegs. A added bonus is the tip over protection, truly a thoughtful bit of engineering. The price and the quality fit my pocket as well as my riding style. You can't go wrong with a Victory, the name itself indicates exactly what it is. A Winner. Show less

This bike was a Christmas present in 2009. I have truly enjoyed it. I had a gas smell for the longest time, but being my first big twin, I felt it must be just a quirk that they have, as well as the warm legs in the summer. I had a Wing before but I just recently talked to the mechanic at the dealers. He told me I had a bad gas cap. I had 93K miles on that Wing and never replaced a gas cap. He told me a new one is 44 bucks. I want to see if they will help me out on that. Overall, it's a great ride. Show less

I bought my 2011 in November and have't stopped smiling since. This bike is so comfortable to ride, it just fits me and for a big v-twin is very flickable. I had the dealer install the x bow stage 1 exhaust which included a hi-flow air box. I love the sound and this bike will light up the rear wheel with ease. I can't wait til spring so I can show all my Harley buddies the rear fender - haha. Happy trails to all motorcyclists out there, be safe! Show less

The 2009 Vegas Low is amazing, this is best bike I have ever ridden. The low center of gravity allows the bike to maneuver as if you were straddling a much smaller bike. The look and style is eye catching with lots of double takes as you pass the rest of the pack and bystanders. The 6th gear allows for a comfortable highway ride. I cannot say enough about this bike, except go buy one and leave the HDs where they belong, on the side of the road. Show less

To the individual who wrote on a Vision review who stated he turned in his Vision because of no dealer support, I have to say that is totally false!! I rode from Chicago to California, up the coast and back and had to get some work done on my 2003 Vegas along the way. I got great help in Oklahoma to repair my MBW turn signals. It was awesome help by the man himself, Arlen Ness, and his crew to change oil and re-adjust the bike height, and excellent service in Denver to replace my front tire. Overall, it's a great dealer network and support even though there aren't as many around as the competition but with a solidly reliable product, you're not going to need as much help along your trips as the other company's products. By the way, some of the repairs that were done were to correct some of my own mistakes in modifications. Thank you Victory of a most excellent product. I know I have my second one: a 2010 Jackpot. I traded up from a Star 1100 Silverado - good bike but not comfortable. The Vision is - to be redundant - a 'vision.' I looked at HD line and I really like Harleys but unfortunately there is only so much you can do with a retro design / suspension. The Vision is the epitome of what you can do with modern technology and a clean sheet of paper. This bike draws more attention than having a puppy or a baby with you. Get used to being gawked at and being ribbed a little by your HD buddies. Superb in all ways - give it a four in performance only because in stock rig power is adequate not overwhelming. Handling, power, comfort all AAA in all respects for a tour rider. I compare Vision to my Corvette - dollar for dollar best performing machine you can buy. I am former USAF pilot so 'space ship' fits just fine with me. Take some ribbing and give it back. Show less

I love the bike. I wish there was a way to lower it for smaller riders. (It would be nice to sit flat foot on a bike). Show less

Polaris hit the Jackpot with manufacturing motorcycles. After the free test ride I was hooked. The overall ride is the finest I've experienced. While the Kingpin is listed as a cruiser, it can really perform on the twistys, if you don't mind a little foot board surfing. The suspension is "taut" meaning, it responds well to sportier handling. The seat is a bit rough to my elder backside, however, there are several aftermarket seats that fix that. Thinking of a new bike? Check out Victory. Show less
