I traded up from a Star 1100 Silverado - good bike but not comfortable. The Vision is - to be redundant - a 'vision.' I looked at HD line and I really like Harleys but unfortunately there is only so much you can do with a retro design / suspension. The Vision is the epitome of what you can do with modern technology and a clean sheet of paper. This bike draws more attention than having a puppy or a baby with you. Get used to being gawked at and being ribbed a little by your HD buddies. Superb in all ways - give it a four in performance only because in stock rig power is adequate not overwhelming. Handling, power, comfort all AAA in all respects for a tour rider. I compare Vision to my Corvette - dollar for dollar best performing machine you can buy. I am former USAF pilot so 'space ship' fits just fine with me. Take some ribbing and give it back.

I enjoy the power, handling and styling of my Vision. This bike stole my heart after the first ride. I said I gotta get one of these. I enjoy the power, handling and styling of my Vision. This bike stole my heart after the first ride. I said I gotta get one of these. I ride 6-7,000 miles a year and originally planned to keep my 1500 Goldwing, but Knight Vision, as I like to call it, impressed me to let it go to someone who would appreciate a good used bike. I would like dealers to consider adding the cost of the first and second maintainence to the bike, due to how fast these will occur on a touring bike. My wife was not happy to be spending money so fast after the purchase.

On Saturday my wife and I had a chance to be some of the first to test ride on a 2009 Victory Vision at our dealer's Victory demo day. We already own a 2006 Vegas and 2008 Kingpin, and previously owned a 2006 Kingpin. We are thoroughly pleased with the Victory motorcycles in every way. We had heard a lot of positive reports from owners and riders of the Vision and I can assure you, this bike is excellent. For a heavy bike, it is very easy to handle, even at low speeds. It takes turns effortlessly. The linked braking system stops the bike quickly and safely. The power of the 106 inch motor is superb and smooth. The rider ergonomics are slightly more upright than the Kingpin but are made for long-distance rides. The seat comfort is exceptional. The list of extra touches and comfort items is too long to list and should be experienced firsthand. Bottom line, even with 2 Victory motorcycles already in the garage, my wife's response summed it up. Before she even got off the bike, she said, "We're getting one of these! If you're in the market for a long-distance cruiser or touring bike, give the Vision a test ride. This motorcycle is first class all the way.
