BMW R 1150 GS Adventure reviews

A short adventure dual sport. Runs on any gas will go anywhere. It has switchable abs from a 2007 and EFI. It not the fastest dual sport or the slowest but it is fun. The heated grips and adjustable suspension make this bike super easy to tour with. Get about 50 to 60 mpg and that going at 70mph. It tops out at around 90mph. But loves to sit at 60 to 70mph. The 2016 BMW R1200 GS has been my favorite motorcycle and I've owned more than 40 motorcycles. It's light, nimble and just plain fun to ride. It's never given me any trouble and the maintenance is simpler than most of my bikes. Show less

I have been riding my BMW motorcycle for the past few years. I love how the lightweight and nimble it is for city traffic. The torque is strong and its fun to ride. I have always been getting compliments every time i ride it. This is a unique experience and not for everyday use, its a powerful ride, an I mostly used it on the weekends. This site doesn't support the R1250R as a model but this bike is the R (not the RT). I bought this bike to be my around town bike and wanted more HP. This bike surprised me with its acceleration and handling. The opposed twins drop the center of gravity, creating a ground-hugging panther. It is the most fun bike to ride I've ever known. The only problem is my jaws ache from the constant grinning. From the sound of the exhaust to the great looks of the Triple Black and the amazing feel of the engine on the handlebars and in the seat, it engages all your senses. Long rides are not a problem with the comfortable seat and seat height. Just add side bags and go! Show less

For many years, the BMW F 800 GS has defined the smaller of the big adventure bike market (1200 GS being the big end). The 800 GS has about 200-220 mile range and is rock solid in almost any environment, only suffering a bit in the deep sand. With a top speed near 130 mph (proven), it cruises comfortably at 75-80 mph all day long. The Rotax motor is ultra-reliable with 6,000 mile checkups (noting only significant valve adjustment at 36k). Motorcycle with lots of power and fun to ride. Not as maneuverable as a dirt bike but still very capable on gravel roads and double tracks. I rode the Smokey Mountain 500 on this bike and had no problems crossing creeks or on the yellow loop. Some parts of the yellow loop were at the limit of my skills on this bike (muddy and rutted climb and single track section). Getting to the start of your off road adventure is a breeze. I have no problem with the fact that it has no traction control, you just have to control your wrist, that’s all the traction control you need.😂 Show less

This F700GS factory low was used primarily for long trips. Most of the mileage was on the road rather than in town local riding. Owner is a MSF RiderCoach so the bike has had a good life. The bike was always garaged, factory maintenance was done on time and T-CLOCS was done before every ride. The included equipment makes it ready for any trip or adventure. Show less
